My favorite!
It is hard to find Lion bar here in NYC, as most stores only carry the more popular names. I like to think of Lion candy bar if Crunch and KitKat had a baby, with caramel secretly inserted 😎.If you like various textures and enjoy candies such as crunch, KitKat, and 100 Grand, Lion candy bar is the best. It's my favorite candy!I was a bit hesitant to order from Amazon, but the bars arrived perfectly and not melted. The price is a bit higher than I pay locally but the convenience of having them delivered to my home for 50 cents more per bar, worth it.

Supposed to be the best chocolate bar ever.
Was delivered today. Today just happened to be the hottest day all year in las vegas. Was delivered in my mail box and it was 92° today. Everything was melted by the time I got home from work. In the fridge now. Hopefully I can save them.

A little pricey, but very good snack for your quarantine snacking!
Well,... with the EU trip cancelled due to COVID... :( we decided to bring some of the UK home to us so we can binge on candy while worrying about the rest of the world.Product came well packaged (although we had to pop in the freezer due to the warm climate in my mailbox) and in excellent condition. Expiration on the wrapper (if you can read German or Spanish) was 01/2021.... so good for me!The candy bars was rather larger the expected, but if you have a sweet tooth... like me.... no problem.Although the ingredients where somewhat unexciting, together, it was very good,... cereal crunchies, lots of caramel, better than average chocolate,... so... yeah!Price was a bit on the steeper side,... but can't get them locally. Besides, anything that's good ought to cost a little bit more. Think kit-kat, 100 grand, whatchimicallit… all wrapped into one.Enjoy!

It is not safe to surf the internet on an empty stomach.
It is not safe to surf the internet on an empty stomach. I read of Lion on a list of best English candy bars and was intrigued to try it. This is not sold in stores in Canada, but I knew that Amazon would come through to provide easy access to unique and wonderful items from all over the globe! I placed my order for an assortment of different chocolate bars with Spellbound From England because their prices were good and they offered free shipping to Canada. One week later, my order arrived bubble wrapped and nicely packaged in a sturdy box. I was delighted to see that the chocolate was fresh and had six months to go before the expiration date. Five stars and a high five for the seller! However, in this review I am rating the chocolate bar itself and since taste is very much a subjective preference, I would rate Lion three stars. It is a solid chocolate bar but did not make my toes curl in delight. I love chocolate bars with wafers and rice crisps in them. Unfortunately, the caramel made this chewier than I prefer, and it stuck to my teeth. The bar had a homogenous sweet, mild caramel flavour. I could not discern the taste of the individual wafer and crisp elements—they mostly added texture, not flavour. Lion reminds me of Mr. Big that we have in Canada, except that in the latter I could taste the individual wafer, crisps, peanuts and chocolate elements. I will stick with Mr. Big in the future, but I was glad to have tried Lion and my curiosity (and hunger) are now satisfied.

Not too bad. Rather good.
I had spotted Lion bars when I was in France several years ago, and wanted to try one. I'm glad through Amazon I had the chance to see what these were like. Lion bars are a very good candy bar, I believe. Now, they are very sweet. Basically, I found them to be a cross between a Twix bar with cookie wafers and caramel, and a Nestle's crunch bar. They have the cookie wafers and caramel, and then it's coated in rich, milk chocolate, which has rice crispie bits in the choclate. It's a very solid candy bar, and it requires some chewing. I found my Lion bars to be a tad on the dry side, when they were delivered, but they were edible and yummy anyway.

Lion bars rock. One of my favorite European candies.
All 6 of mine had valid expiration dates (they expire 9 months from now) and were DELISH. I love lion bars. I think that although they are slightly more simple than a snickers, they are better. The texture (so much crunchy goodness along with the caramel) is what you buy these for. It's worth a try. They have a distinctive chocolate flavor that you get from Euro milk chocolate, it's different and really kind of special. I think the person(s) who designed this bar originally did a great job and I'm glad Nestle still makes them.

Favorite candy bar?
I love these and find it very difficult to find them in the US. Presently, the nearest location of which I am aware is a three hour drive (Huntington WV). Admittedly, receiving them through the mail they don't seem to be the same quality as what I grew used to in Glasgow. Still...they are hard to beat!:)
