Best manual
Oh my God this is the best book ever, it has everything in it, just when I think they might’ve left something out. Oh no, it’s there. This is like a motorcycle Bible totally recommend this book to anybody that has a Harley sportster.

Not enough detail, contains general content
Was hoping for more detailed information.Lots of references to "See illustration" but does not reference which illustration specifically they are referring to. Some pages have many illustrations which are marked (7.6, 7.11a, 7.11b) but the instructions do not provide clear associations to the specific illustration number on the page.Does not include cylinder compression acceptable limits (high or low), it simply says to install a compression gauge into the spark plug hole which is the obvious process, not much else on this subject.Contains 1 image for 2004 and newer belt drive service in the daily ride pre check section (chapter 1), and only 9 high level steps for removal and replacement of the belt in chapter 5. Most sections refer to other chapters, so lots of page turning for info to get any repair done. Should be better for something labeled as a "Service & Repair Manual" on the cover.

A must have!
Can't go wrong with one of these repair manuals. I have one for all 4 of my bikes, plus some for cars. Even if you're not super mechanically inclined, if you can read and follow instructions, you can do most of the repairs yourself.
