Absolutely perfect cup of tea!
Strong flavor, with a delicious smell and taste! I drink my tea black with honey and after trying the second cup, I can say I am a fan! Although I do not use milk in my tea, I think this tea would be strong enough to add milk to without sacrificing the tea flavor. I read a lot of the reviews (I am a tea snob-meaning, I like strong black tea with a clear taste), and I am glad I gave this one a try. It is in a pellet form, which I actually preferred to the loose cut leaf tea.One particular review I read mentioned particles, or floaties, in the cup (even with the finest mesh strainer), which was off putting to them and interfered with their enjoyment of the tea. I did not notice any floaties in either cup that I had, and the particles in the bottom of my cup were minimal. Neither was enough to deter me from loving this tea. I am not sure what strainer they used, but the strainer I used is a heart shaped tea ball and it did as well with the CTC as it does with cut leaf.Overall, the smell, flavor, and taste were wonderful and very appealing to me. I did take another reviewers advice and cut the amount per cup down on the first cup I tried just to make sure it wouldn't be too strong, or bitter. The second cup, I filled my tea ball halfway (a bit more than what would be in a bagged tea), and it was perfect! Strong, smooth and has a fabulous flavor. I do tend to steep my tea for longer periods than recommended on the package because some teas just aren't strong enough for my taste, but I don't think that will be an issue with this tea.Granted, not everyone likes their tea the way I do, but regardless, if you like a strong black tea, then you should give this one a try. I don't think you will be disappointed!

Strong and smooth
Best tea ever! So smooth and strong. Doesn't leave a bitter aftertaste like most strong teas. Besides just drinking it straight with a bit of lemon, I also use this to make chai tea. Love it and will DEFINITELY purchase again.

An excellent, unique, reasonably priced loose leaf black tea.
I was looking for a good basic and pure loose leaf black tea. I had been using a different high-end brand of loose leaf Assam tea but that line of tea had run out so I hunted Amazon for a replacement brand. I found that the Ghograjan Assam Breakfast was reviewed well and much more reasonably priced than my previous tea so decided to give it a go. It arrived promptly in a nice sealable bag. I was surprised when I opened it that the round "pellets" were very fine and not large. The smell was subtle but very pleasant. I like to brew my black teas in boiling water which I did in this case (using a borosilicate glass pot with a strainer over the stovetop). I used two teaspoons and once the water was boiled left it boiling for 3 minutes. The tea came out very dark and strong. It had a pleasant thick flavor (I like to add splenda and milk to my tea) but was a bit too strong. For subsequent servings I used a smaller tea leaf to water ratio and the tea has come out very flavorful, moderately strong, and pleasant. It is really a great replacement for coffee. It has a very unique flavor unlike other typical English Breakfast teas. Sometimes I mix it with a bit of English Breakfast or Earl Grey from another brand just to give it a bit more zing but it is great on its own. I do recommend adding milk as recommended on the label. All in all, an excellent, unique, very reasonably priced tea that you will enjoy. Don't hesitate to give it a try.

First time I have received granulated tea
I have ordered the Ghograjan Estate Assam loose breakfast tea (1 lb. size) in the past - great product. Was almost out last week, so I placed another order on Amazon, which arrived quickly. I just opened the package this morning and I wasn't sure if I was looking at tea or instant coffee. Pictured on the left is the new tea; on the right the previous order. Granulated tea? I made a quick cup, it tastes very good and it's smooth. The leaf tea package lasted a very long time. Wondering if the granules will also. Comments welcome. Thanks.

EXCEPTIONAL TEA THANK YOU!!
This tea is excellent it is not bitter and it has alot of caffeine. I am a person who can drink a full cup of the highest caffienated coffee and go to sleep I just do not feel it. This tea I feel it wakes me up. The smothness is something I have never tasted before. It also expands to twice as much in my tea ball. I am truly amazed at how smooth it is even when brewed strong. This is the first time I have been able to drink black tea it usually hurts my stomach. Thank you so much for your product. To all that are reading this review please ignore any bad reviews this stuff is amazing.

This is not loose leaf tea.
It's very small bits of tea leaves, looks like coffee grounds and is very strong. Not recommended for steeping at all.

Very inexpensive; potent but nasty
This is a Curl, Tear, Crush tea which has the consistency of finely ground instant coffee. I would rather drink a Lipton Tea bag. It's a strong tea with a somewhat bitter taste. I can't detect any of the Assam maltiness or toastiness through the bitterness. I need lots of milk and sugar to survive this tea which is more like fannings or dust.I would urge you to spend a little bit more money on an Assam. This tea costs less than 10 cents a mug and it tastes like what I imagine prison beverages to taste like. I know that many people have given this tea strong reviews, so you may discount me as being a little too petulent or fussy about my tea. I do recommend several brands--among them Harney & Sons and Upton's. Try to avoid CTC for an assam and see if you can try a TGFOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe) just for comparison's sake.
