Bubba Classic Insulated Desk Mug, 52 oz, RealTree Black

love this mug.. BIG base, so it cant tip over like some of the 'Bubba kegs" you get in wal mart ( which are ok, but made for cars, not offices )i fill with hot water for green tea, let it cool overnight in fridge ( at work ) then pour over ice next day.i love it. easy to hold, has a bottle opener built into the bottom ( didnt know that ), feels sturdy, keeps my drinks COLD ( i dont do any hot drinks in it, so i cant tell you about heat retention ) all day, and i have ice left over the next day., even just sitting in my office, and the A/C is off soon as i leave, and it gets hot in there ( during hotter months ).i will buy one for the house as well, too good to pass up, and MUCH cheaper than "name brands" or even Wal Mart brands.highly recommend if you like a big drink and dont want to refill 3 or 4 x a day.

I just received this mug as a replacement for a year old Bubba mug that started to leak. It was great for almost a year. I didn't mishandle or use a dishwasher on the old one so I don't know what caused the leak. This version (with picture) is basically the same as the old one except for two things. This one didn't come with a straw and all previously purchased Bubba mugs did. It doesn't matter to me since I have the old straws and I had purchased extra straws with the cleaning brush. Second, this jug's top was extremely tight and difficult to screw on. TIP: I wiped the gasket with cooking oil. It lubricates the gasket a makes it easier to screw on. It's non-toxic and extends the life of the gasket too. It works great. I gave it 4 stars based on past experiences with customer support; they're terrible. I tried to purchase a replacement gasket for a mug. They said they don't sell them but would send me one for free. After exchanging emails over a 3 month period, I gave up a bought a new mug. That's why I don't bother with their "Lifetime Warranty". I consider it worthless. But I still love the mug as long as it holds up.

Really a perfect Dad gift. I gifted it to my father a few years ago for Christmas, and he loved it. My dad is a coffee & beer drinker.. it's great for both. I loved that it has a bottle opener on the bottom as well.

We own 8 of these, and most are over a year old now. The screw on threads are still holding tight, and we use these all the time. Our family and friends like to use these when they come over for outdoor activities, picnics, any time they come over. The only gripe I have, the bottom plug/seal, doesn't seal tight on a couple of them, and when they get hand washed, water will get inside the case and leak when using them. That is annoying to me, dripping when I am wanting to take a drink... Other than that, really good drinking mugs

Pros:Large capacity. You can keep your water cold and not have to go for refills. You can drink a whole pot of tea in this thing!Cons:Heavy. They should add a second handle and make it like a giant sippy cup! That way you can switch back and forth from hand to hand to give your forearms a break.Hard to remove lid. I got two of these. The lid goes on and off ok on one of them, but it takes a lot of swearing to remove the lid on the second one. There is not much to grab ahold of for leverage. A pop on top like they use on the 34 oz would be better.Leaks. So far, my 34 oz one doesn't seem to leak, but this large one does if it gets tipped over. So you have to make sure it stays upright if you're driving with it.

This thing is amazing. Buy the Bubba & you won't regret it.You think you have a big mug until you compare this to the yeti or some starbucks tumbler. You know what you need? You need the ability to transport 52oz of whatever the heck you want to drink.Fill this thing up three times in the workday and you have a replacement for a dialysis machine.I love my camo print bubba in the white collar workplace, everyone loves this thing. It'll also keep stuff hot for a couple hours at minimum.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE the Bubba's. I bought one originally at a Ross store and loved it so much I had to order more from Amazon. They keep your drinks cold for a very long time plus I was always having to refill my water and hated doing that so I wasn't drinking as much. The bubba straws are amazing and durable and I can run them through the dishwasher. The cup does need handwashed but its very easy to wash, holds so much, and stays cold for so long it is worth handwashing. This has helped me to drink more water than ever before and thats saying a lot since I never used to drink water much at all.

The handle is ergonomic and feels comfortable to grasp even when full. The outside of the mug does not feel hot when filled with scalding hot coffee or other liquids..in fact, it could be used for more than liquids and could easily keep a meal like chilli and rice or spaghetti bolognaise at an enjoyable temperature. The lid screws nice and tight and the swing top with stopper is of a good size that it can be manipulated with gloves if needed to be in cold weather and when not needed pushes and clicks securely so it doesn't get in the way when taking a swig. The stopper part certainly stops liquid escaping when pressed in firmly and for the price is acapable, and well-made large capacity travel mug.

This is a very large mug which keeps your drinks cold even on the hottest day. I left mine in the sun during our recent heatwave and even though the top was almost too hot to touch the drink inside was still ice cold even an hour later. The bottle opener is a nice touch and very handy during barbeques.I find the lid a bit fiddly to get on as the threads are quite fine but overall this is a really good mug.

The plastic retains smell of soap, tea/coffee stain stays on the plastic after wash, when wiped you see the stain.

Its huge. Not used it yet as it's a present. But I had to buy another due to my other half getting present envy

bought as a gift for my trucker brother should hold enough tea for a while. nice item.
