DOMETIC CFX-CVR35 Insulated Protective Cover (for CFX-35US)

This covers and protects my Dometic CFX-CVR 35 refridgerator/ freezer very well. The insulation helps keep the unit within the set temp range which reduces the compressor run time.The sides have zippers for a snug fit. The top has large tabs that Velcro in place which makes accessing the unit quite easy. The clear window at the front end allows the controls/temp gauge to be visible at all times.The side pockets are a great place to store the ac and dc cords. The D-rings on each corner make it possible for me to secure the unit in the passenger seat of my Kenworth so it does not move around or come off the seat on rough roads or unexpected hard braking. I used adjustable flat bungee cords to secure it to the hand holds on the passenger door side of my KW.

We bought this for extra storage for our sail across the South Pacific. It has been invaluable! It cools down very quickly and maintains a pretty consistent temp. We have to make sure it gets enough airflow all around it as the cover does trap some moisture in it. I know it is helping with insulation as because when I put my hand between the cooler and they cover, it is cold, but hardly cool on the very outside of the cover.

I finally got this on my unit tonight ant not only fits perfectly but it also does the job well. You can leave the cover in place while just unvelcro-ing the top if you want to get into the freezer, which continues to keep the freezer super insulated. I'm really happy with the cover as well as the unit itself. The cover protects not only the temperature in the freezer but the outside of the unit itself. I put it in the space between the seats in our RV which not only makes it easy to reach but it also keeps our dog out of the front seat area. In the past, I was worried the unit would get scratched by his claws (which never happened as it may have with the painted metal unit I ordered first) and this cover prevents any possibility of those scratches.

Nice quality material. Almost, a thoughtful design. Missing an accessory pocket to hold the AC/DC cords. Ironically, the emphasis put on a cell phone pocket. What are we doing here? Providing a cover for the refrigerator or a charging station for cell phones? It does have two flimsy, small, slip in pockets on the side. Perhaps for holding the instructions. I'd still buy it as it offers good protection and insulation for the cooler.

I store this on the top bunk in my Freightliner and it gets pretty hot up there. This insulated COVER helps to keep my freezer at the set temp regardless.

Does what it is supposed to do. Adds tie-downs to the corners so it won't bounce around your vehicle. I'm not sure how long they will hold up, but so far so good. Good quality. The velcro around the top is easy to break away and access the handle, but it is still kind of annoying. I gave it 4 stars for that. A minor quibble, (4-stars is still good), but I feel magnetic snaps would be a superior design and worth 5-stars.Still, it's a must-have accessory for the tie downs and added insulation.

Very, very nice durable cover that fits perfectly and reduces energy consumption due to the additional insulation it provides. Outstanding quality and stitching. Looks and functions amazingly well. At first I questioned whether or not I really needed this, now I wouldn't have a Dometic cooler without it.

Looks great and adds a lot more protection to my Waeco Cooler also provides great insulation in the tropics.
