I think these devices are perfect. They are inexpensive
I own several of these. They are mounted on my wall and the screen is on 24/7. I also own 6 of the 10" versions. As single-purpose units, I think these devices are perfect. They are inexpensive, reasonably responsive, and seem to last. If they don't....heck, they are $30! They do come with Google Play, but you'll find that many apps don't work with it. It took a while to find a weather widget app that would display, for example. The widgets on the screen display oddly from other tablets (I also have a Nexus 7 as a handheld device) in that they "shrink" within the grid. So if you place a 4x4 widget, it doesn't really fit the 4x4 space fully. It's odd.Resolution is not great, so small fine print is not very legible. I increased the font size on all of mine to compensate. The screen itself doesn't have the best viewing angles. 20 degrees off or so, and it can look washed out. Some angles give an inverted color appearance. The best angle is just below eye level and slightly tilted with the top away from you.It doesn't have an ambient light sensor, so it won't dim when it is in the dark. I solved this by installing the Midnight app that lets you schedule the screen to dim on a given schedule. It stays connected to my Wifi perfectly fine, no issues there, or with bluetooth. I have one that is a streaming audio device to a home sound system, and it runs great. There is noticeable lag in the launch of streaming music apps, but once it gets going, it's fine. I use it usually every evening, and after 4 months, I've had to reset it (reboot) maybe 3 times. The less you install on these the better. They don't have the processing power to handle much running in the background. This is not an everyday tablet and it isn't a Nexus, but I've found many uses for them. I have one on my fridge that displays recipes, weekly meals, and shopping lists that syncs to all our other phones/tablets. Out of milk? Quickly add it to your shopping list and it pops on your phone next time you are at the grocery store. Also use them at work as clock-in stations, interface terminals, etc.The iRulu brand seems to be all over Amazon, but there are others as well. They all use the basic case and layout with minor variations. It looks like various companies in China just started using old surplus parts and built cheap tablets from them. iRulu, Dragon, Octo, Chromo, Unis...the list goes on. Just random slapped together tablets with various specs and OS versions.

Display will disappoint you.
I have a hard time believing the item actually has the specs that are advertised. The processor seems slow and the display is hard to look at. The slightest tilt makes the screen impossible to view. You literally have to look directly at the screen. The batter drains very quickly. I'm actually confused how this device has a 1024x600 display, which is the same as other more expensive tablets and yet I get annoyed looking at the screen. I understand that for the price I should not expect amazing processing speed but I was at least hoping for a decent display so I can read e-books. I have better tablets which are in the sole possession of my two kids who refuse to hand them over and I was looking for something I can do a bunch of reading on for a fair price. I fear I have to go back to the drawing board.

Save your money and get something better
Wanted to really give this tablet the benefit of the doubt but there is no denying it's poor quality. It's not really even worth the low price. After a couple of months it just really slowed down (and was already struggling as it was) to the point of complete frustration. It works, yes...but not very well and with no enthusiasm on the part of the device for even simple tasks. By the time we got a new one this one was two inches away from being thrown against a wall. You have been warned.

Great for Price
Pretty color. I figured these would be cheaply made junk tablets that free all the time because of the cheap price. Wrong! These are good tablets for children; I purchased these for 2 girls for Christmas and they are amazing. They held so much memory for apps and games and pictures. One thing I wanted to say was there is plastic covering on the screen and over the camera; we didn’t realize this for months later.

Love
I've bought 2 of these so far. The first one was dropped and broke (DEFINITELY GET A CASE!) so I ordered am Dragon Touch tablet and we had problems with it straight out of the box so I returned it and bought ANOTHER IRULU tablet WITH a case and my daughter LOVES IT!

Wasn't the bargain I had hoped
I got this for my daughter. The feature I was so excited for was that it had two ways to charge. The usb and the ac one. Except one never worked. The usb port didn't charge or work to connect it with anything. I was incredibly disappointed and wish I went with my first choice. https://amzn.to/2ObHWAV Always go with the amazon fire when tablet searching is my lesson learned.

Stuck in Boot Loop after Resart
I would not recommend this product at all. I followed the instructions for letting it charge 10 hours.I then booted the tablet up and entered my login information. I was playing around on it and getting some apps installed. Then I turned it off. When I tried turning it back on it got stuck in a boot loop. I tried letting it die and that did not fix it. I tried plugging it into the computer and that did not fix it. I tried charging it for another 10 hours and that did not fix it. I finally just stopped messing around with it and returned it.

The mic works great the camera quality is what you would expect for
Just bought it recently using it to help me with a project that i need android for. The mic works great the camera quality is what you would expect for .3 MP . The tablet runs videos has all apps that would be open and available for android 4.4.2. Chrome works good and i even ran a GBA and N64 Emulator and was able to play those old classic games. Didn't try it on normal today apps but i would imagine would work fine.

Bought for hubby, huge disappointment (the unit, not the hubby)
TLDR: Poor battery, poor wifi reception, slow. Tried to contact manufacturer by email (and phone) and no response. Don't bother. Couldn't return via Amazon as it was outside of their terms.Long version:Bought for my husband as a stocking filler for christmas. He is a techy type, and loves gadgets. The idea for this was to be a mini media centre so that I get my lounge back when the football is on (i.e. Sky Go etc), or he is on one of his frequent epic 2 hour bath marathons, or we could control our alarm / cctv / microwave / iCat with it.He was actually very happy on xmas day when he opened it, and like all (big) children wanted to open it and play straight away. First impressions were very good, he was up and running on the android store in minutes. At this point, i'll mention that he was in the same room as the wifi router."pretty slick after removing the unwanted apps" he said. "I'll just install sky go and try it on the loo". Off he trundled upstairs to sit on his throne. Unexpectedly, he returned 2 minutes later. "it cant connect to the wifi" he said. Looking very forlorn, he slumped into the armchair and carried on fiddling with his new toy. After 10 minutes he grabbed the ipad and connected to the router to check the internet was actually working. It was, and the problem he had was that the iRULU was STILL downloading an app from the playstore - despite a fully working / live internet connection. He moved seats and sat for what seemed ages. Until he finally gave up, put the unit in the box and opened his new socks instead.About 3 days later, he felt more positive and decided to give it another go. Only after a couple of weeks when I found the unit on his bedside table buried under a couple of books he confessed that he didn't want to upset me, but the unit was in fact total and utter [email protected] problems were:Wifi was awful. range was poor. When wifi DID work, the speed was like going back 10 years in terms of internetWhen the wifi worked and the speed was passable, anything rendering video was abysmalWhen the wifi worked and the speed was passable and the video player / youtube / sky go worked, the battery was sapped. When the wifi worked and the speed was passable and the video player wasnt in use and he just wanted to listen to the radio or check the CCTV, it either refused to install app, crashed, drained battery or a combination of the above. He even tried to look on amazon on it to see reviews, and (his words) were : rendering a remotely heavy webpage is like waiting for a jpeg to download in the 90s.By which time, of course, it was too late to return via Amazon - so he contacted iRulu (note their *excellent customer service*) - there was even a little discount card in the box for future purchases. He tried via email multiple times. He could only surmise that given they had not responded, the customer service team must be using one of these units. He tried calling, and no response. They might still be downloading the emails.Imagine my surprise when I see an email request to review this piece of modern tech* - given it has not even passed the 2-year-old test (he wiped it, put some CBeebies aps on and gave it to our little one.) Even she gets bored.Would I buy one? if it did what it said it would - yes, probably (after all, I DID buy one). Sadly, it didn't. So its a very big NO.Is mine a dud? Don't cant get anyone to respond to us. Perhaps either the seller or the manufacturer would like to reach out to us on here, and provide some sort of remedy - we still have the box (its a bit dusty) and all the bits. Here's hoping some of that great customer service materialises...attached is an artists impression of my husband after trying to use it.*utter rubbish.
