Well worth the money!
I bought this because my new department did not have and New York hooks. I was shocked at the quality of the tool and how good the welds were. This has a true ny hook head and the forks are thin just like a probar. Tool could definitely be used for moderate forcible entry and I have pulled a lot of ceilings with it and it works great. Worth way more than the price on it.

this tool is awesome. Great heft allows you to make great purchase ...
Along with all the uses of a typical new york hook, as a rural firefighter with alot of legacy type buildings including pole barns with sheet metal, this tool is awesome. Great heft allows you to make great purchase points in plaster and lathe, sheet metal and drywall. Allows quick removal of material to find the fire without having to work around the tool, this tool has everything you would need.

Excellent value
I bought this this to carry in my vehicle for emergency extraction of accident victims. So far I haven't needed it. It is however, very impressive. The ends are forged. The body is tubular and probably heavy walled and probably heat treated.

Great Fire Officer Tool “The Manly Tool”
In the Fire Service, this tool is called the “MANLY Tool”. Named after the rescue Captain who started using it on the job. It’s a useful tool for an officer. When I made Lieutenant and was no longer to be the first one grabbing tools off the rig, I felt like Ricky Bobby and didn’t know what to do with my hands. The only negative I have is the fork is cast, not forged. It’s worked just fine, but forged would be better.

Very Strong, Useful Wide Mouth
Needed a wide mouth to remove a massive nail from a tree. Although not an ideal shape for prying, it was just about the only pry bar I could find with a suitably wide mouth, so I gave it a shot. I'm really impressed that this worked! Using my car's jack to get the force needed to pry the nail out; I ended up flexing the weld enough that the paint chipped off, and I was nearly sure it was going to yield, but it carried through and got that nail out. Couldn't be happier. Have since used it for some demo work and it's been similarly fantastic. A great buy!

Quality tool for firefighting use
Use as an officers tool, tuned it up a little with a grinder. Squared off tips for tighter door gaps. Prys nicely, it dosent replace a halligan tool but it will gap a door enough to set forks and pry. Makes quick work of drywall with overhaul operations and clearing windows in ventilation, also good for pulling exterior skin off trailers. Same tool as the Leatherhead brand. Made by same company. Quality tool.Even bought one for my firefighter.

Great value!
Great product at a fraction of the cost. I use this as my "officer tool" on the fire truck. It fits very good on the side of the seat for a quick grab, easy to carry, and toughly built. Because this is a "civilian" and not a "reacue" tool, you pay about $50 instead of $300.

Would buy again
This is a great bar for an officers tool and I've used it in several fires as well as other incidents but it's preformed amazingly and I've been using it for forcible entry and have bust well over doors during different trainings and it's preformed better then expected
