I like it and feel you get your money's worth of value from this kit. Very nice MOLLE Bag. There is no flint and I feel that this should be taken out of the discription. There is a synthetic Ferro rod but it is not the same thing as a flint rock. I like the pocket bellow's as this keep's your face from getting too close to the fire. There is a large variety of different tinder. The char cloth is one that many may not be as familiar with. I would add different ways of making fire, waterproof matches, a lighter, maybe a magnifing glass, etc. To make these changes you would have to remove some of the tinder. The Weyland kit is packed with the different tinder choices. I would recommend this kit and consider it a good value.

This all inclusive kit is the perfect purchase for anyone looking to be able to quickly and efficiently start a fire when conventional methods aren’t available. Its compact size is perfect for inclusion in an EDC kit or get home bag. It can also be used at home for those back lot bonfires when you get out there and nobody has a lighter. I have purchased numerous items from Weyland Outdoors and have never been disappointed. Great company making great products.

This is a great and useful product for ANYONE! I bought me one and it so far has served me well. So good that I bought one for my son as well for a birthday present. I love camping and survival so thus is a crucial item in my EDC bag. You get multiple items to start fires with and that is what you need. I did how ever add a lighter wrapped with duct tape to it as well. It is small and light weight perfect for any occasion.

It's a well stocked kit, but further refinements for individual additions/deletions are almost a given. The followup email directions were for a completely different model. I have multiple firestarting options, and complement each other very, very well.

Separated this kit out between my haversack, kayak bag, and a small kit in my 35L pack. Everything works great!

(nearly) Everything you could need to start a fire for camping or SHTF prepping... I would suggest the addition of a G.I. (or reproduction) magnesium bar, a folding lock-blade knife, and a wire saw to extend its capabilities (and maybe carry a butane lighter or, a "permanent match" or Zippo with a fuel capsule/canister or, a plasma lighter for everyday use so you save the included tinder for when it is necessary...)
