As good as everyone says!
Update October 2020: I was just buying a replacement pair and thought I'd update my review. Though the fact that I'm buying another pair should tell you enough! I've worn my first black pair at least three times a week for the past year and a half and they've been great. They continue to be some of the most comfortable, lightest shoes I've owned, and coming home every day just completely not aware of my knees and feet is like a miracle. The black pair, which I've worn the most, are showing wear on their soles; I think there's actually still a decent bit of wear left in them, but I'm about to go on a trip where I'll be walking a lot, so I wanted to have a pair in tip-top shape for that occasion. The upper part of the shoe still looks great.Out of my three pairs that I've owned for over a year, I've had two small problems. The velcro on one shoe of one pair isn't holding as well anymore, and one shoe of one pair had some sole separation (easily fixed with E6000 glue). The comfort and ease of these shoes far outweighs those small problems.I will say, having bought these in black, brown, and navy synthetic, I wouldn't bother buying the different colors next time. Even out of the box, the brown and navy are both almost-black dark to begin with, and then it turns out that the color is more of a sprayed-on, almost powdery coating over an underlying black synthetic that rubs off pretty quickly. After a few months, I was left with one black pair, one black pair with dark brown stitching, and one black pair with dark blue stitching, so it's really not worth it if you want shoes in distinctly different colors.Original review: In my business we have a peak season in the summer where I am on my feet all day long. After last summer, I was in absolute agony and would lie in bed every night with my feet aching so badly I could barely sleep. I knew something had to change! So before this year's summer rush I went looking for a truly comfortable pair of shoes, and after spending time reading over reviews finally decided to try these. After wearing them for just two weeks, I went out and bought them in two more colors. Now it's the end of the summer rush, and I'm just... not aware of my feet at all. They do their work and carry me around and DON'T HURT. Amazing!Seriously, I wasn't expecting them to be this effective. I haven't had much luck with memory foam shoes in the past, usually preferring a more orthotic-type insole, but these are as effective as any orthotic I've ever used and definitely more comfortable! And LIGHT - I didn't realize how tiring my big heavy shoes were until I wasn't fighting that weight anymore. As well as being great for work, these have also become my must-pack travel shoes; they're neutral enough to go with many outfits, comfortable enough that I can walk in them all day, and easy to kick off and on for long car trips.Interesting side note to theater techs, ninjas, etc - these are the absolute quietest shoes I've ever owned!

Heel blisters
The soles are very comfortable but the backs gave me blisters on my heels whether I wore socks or not. I tried mole skin and other things but nothing worked. Very disappointed.

awful
I have to admit that the last time I purchased Clarks shoes was, probably, a decade ago: those shoes fit amazing and lasted that long(!) so, naturally, when I needed a new pair I turned to Clarks. These shoes looked very cute, and they were on sale, so I happily purchased a pair in my size. They arrived quickly, but that's where the positives end.The shoes are too wide. I ordered regular width - M, even though my feel are prone to swelling by the end of the day these are still too wide in the toes! I fasten the velcro on the tightest setting and they stay on, but look ridiculous! One of the velcro straps is sewn in such a way that if you don't fasten it on the tightest, it touches - and SCRATCHES - the skin! Ouch! The toes of these shoes are pointing up. Unless you are purposefully standing on your tippy toes, your toes in these shoes will never touch the ground. That makes it really weird when I walk. The footbed of these shoes is very unbalanced: my feet are constantly shifting as I walk as if trying to find a comfortable position... For such a comfy-looking shoe it's surprising to have virtually no arch support. The shoes are made of cloth, so if you are ever caught in the rain they will soak right through and stink and that would, probably, be the end of them. But even if you manage to keep them dry, they are a dust magnet! If you live in an area where there's lots of pollen and/or dust, your shoes will no longer be black! They attract dust/pollen and look dirty in an instant! This is definitely not the quality I expected from Clarks.

Super cute and comfy
Oh gee. Well, these are super comfortable. They fit true to size. I have rather square feet, so although I don’t need a Wide, I do find the toe box to often be a point of contention. It isn’t in these. I am thrilled to find them. The way I found them was a connection with a random lady in a mall. “Oh your shoes are so cute!”, I warbled. “What are they?” She was so sweet. She even took one off to identify it. “Clark’s Cloudstepper ‘Mary Jane’s!”Well, woo hoo! I came right home, found them and ordered them. I wish the lady knew! But now, you do. They are floaty, the strap holds them where you want them, and they are so cute. Best for summer or walking in the mall. They aren’t cold weather shoes; they aren’t leather, but they aren’t floppy either. They have good form. Here’s to comfort and style!
