C&F 2PK Mercury Free Dual Scale Traditional Glass Thermometers

Did not work.

I wish it were possible to give negative stars. These thermometers are absolute rubbish. You cannot see the temperature. If you sit there staring wiggling the darn thing trying different angles, eventually you might read the temperature. Maybe. And look: I grew up in the pre-digital era. So I know about and have lots of experience (decades and decades) with oral, analog thermometers. These are utter garbage. Pointless to buy. And I get really angry about (have you noticed?) because I wonder: didn't ANYONE in the company try these things? Even once?

You have to shake it, just like if you were trying to bring the non mercury down to the start point!!! Then put it in your mouth or armpit 5 minutes, then turn it gently until you see the line!!! It works perfectly fine just like it should, and the panel shows Fahrenheit and Celsius.I feel like this item isn't getting the right reviews because costumers don't know how to use it!

In one thermometer the setting was stuck at 102 degrees, I timed myself shaking it down for 4 minutes and it didn't budge.The second thermometer has no line at all, didn't respond to having it in my mouth for over 5 minutes. Since these items are not returnable, they are officially a complete waste of money.The packaging was better than the product, they came with vivid instructions.i'd give no stars if that was an option

It's hard to find a non digital thermometer these days. The digitals I have founds are not accurate, so what's the point in checking your temperature if it won't give you an accurate reading anyhow? Not sure why there have been a bunch of negative reviews, maybe cuz they're not sure how to use a non digital one. This is a simple, straightforward thermometer. Stick it, close your mouth, count 5 minutes (yes, I know it sounds like FOREVER!), and then read the number where the line goes up to. May everyone stay nice and healthy!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:These oral thermometers work well but truthfully they’re a little difficult to read (at least for a per person without perfect vision). It’s imperative that you have good lighting to read these thermometers. Aside from this issue I would recommend this product.

They work fine.

The package contained two thermometers. One was clearly broken (the internal tube and scale moved up and down when the thermometer was inverted. The other had the mercury line "broken" (from the bulb, the mercury went to about 100 degrees, then there was a two degree gap, and more mercury for a couple of degrees). No amount of shaking would get the mercury below 100 degrees.Net: both of these are useless and now I have to hassle with a return...Follow up: Amazon's online system says these are NOT returnable (even though they are defective) and helpfully gave me a link to the return policy. I kept going and eventually got to a point where I could have someone call. The customer support person was very helpful and after 15-20 minutes on the phone and uploading a picture of the issue, I was told a refund would be issued. STRONGLY suggest you look elsewhere for a traditional thermometer...
