Check out the sizes!!!
I'm surprised by the mediocre reviews for these pants. Once you figure out the correct size, they're great. I got the Ecru because I thought it would be a nice summer color. It is. I originally got XL because I like looser fits, but it was way too big for me (5'5", usually in a 14). Even with the drawstring as tight as it could be, it still slipped a bit. The Large is an almost perfect fit. Some have complained about the "wrinkled" look. Ha, I like that. If you get them out of the dryer promptly, it's minimal and fits right in with current fashion. Who irons? These pants are comfortable, didn't shrink when I washed them and the color was perfect for what I wanted. I recommend them.

Great jeans substitute for hot weather
I work outside year round but I find that denim is too hot and stiff for hot summer days. I felt I needed pants that were cotton, lightweight but sturdy and preferably the color of dirt. I had no idea where I would find such an animal or how much it would cost. These seemed too cheap to be any good but I took a chance and since they were cheap I ordered a small instead of X small because roominess was primary. I am very pleasantly surprised. The fit was generous, they are well made- I like the reinforced outer seam- and I even got my preferred color. I was much more comfortable in these than in jeans. I will probably order another pair in this size and perhaps a pair in X small for casual wear.

Runs large, but great pants once you find your size
If you wear a size 10 or 12, I suggest medium. Size large is equivalent to 14-16. I made the mistake of ordering large. They were huge, but I thought they would shrink in the washer and dryer. They didn't shrink much. Since they were washed, I won't be returning them. I'll be passing on to someone else because they look somewhat ridiculous on me. I love the fabric, so I ordered medium--perfect fit.The color of these pants--dark green khaki--is very nice. The fabric of the pants is awesome. It is thin but substantial, and very soft. They are great pants for summer. Now that I know my size, I will check out the other colors. Excellent value for the price I paid.

The "ecru" pants are different.
I'm starting with the "ecru" pants; I want to discuss the material.Scroll down to see my comments about sizing.I ordered the white and the navy first, and found them to be satisfactory. But the "ecru" needs to be reviewed separately. They should call them "linen" or "flax" or possibly "homespun". They definitely have a homespun feel and look. The color is not my idea of ecru; it looks like unbleached linen and I'm assuming that's what they used to make these. Be advised it's a rougher fabric. I am thinking these pants might be suitable for gardening; anyway, be prepared for a more hippie-ish look. The navy and white pants are made of a smoother material; clearly you don't achieve "white" without using bleach. (This is how cotton and linen are typically processed. The material is bleached and dyed and then is ready to use for sewing.)The linen-cotton blend is perfect for me, as I don't like to wear synthetic fibers - especially in hot weather.SIZING is always the issue with pants...I first ordered the recommended size (having supplied data to Amazon) and was shocked by how loose the pants were. A survey of customer reviews convinced me I wouldn't be able to shrink them intentionally, so I sent them back and ordered the next size down.SIZING is the big issue with pants...It's always hard to decide between small and extra small, even when looking at a chart. For reference I have a slim straight body type, with a hip measurement of 33.5". (Hope this helps.)

Great summer pants
If you're between sizes, choose the smaller one. These run large. The cotton-linen blend is breathable to help keep you cool, and the long, loose legs protect from sun and bugs. They'd be great for hiking or travel days. They are dressy enough for the office. The subtle texture is luxurious and the stripes draw the eye down, making your legs appear longer, your torso slimmer. (I'll take all the help I can get!) They have 4 real pockets and a sturdy draw string. They're a great deal for under $20.

Nice pants!
These pants are quite comfortable. I have small frame and xs fits good. They run big so beware. I love to wear them with sneakers and sandals. You can dress them up or down. The price is right! I don’t like my pants to shrink in length therefore, I hang dry them and of course warm iron if needed. I got one in black and one in white color. The material is thick enough. Hopefully, this seller will have size xxs in the future.

Very nice, but they run a bit large, IMO
These are well made, and the fabric is good quality (cotton/linen as described, not a cheap mystery fabric as SO MANY summer "linen" pants on Amazon are), but the XL is a bit too big (sometimes an XL fits, sometimes an L fits...) I assumed these probably run small, so that's why I went with an XL. I should have ordered both sizes and returned the pair that didn't fit (DUH!) I was hoping to wear these to a long, out-of-town get together, but I'll have to switch to Plan B. WAH WAHFabric quality:good quality cotton/linen, nice summer weight

Lipedema Ladies, these pants are for you!
I bought, size XL, in blue, black, ecru & gray stripe. The pants are light weight and are perfect for the New England humidity. They wash and dry beautifully with no shrinkage. (Being linen, they do stretch as you wear them). I have Lipedema so the wide leg is perfect for me. These pants are very flattering and comfortable. For the price you cannot beat them. Last year I bought 1XL in blue and ecru, they are still in great condition but are too big this year as I lost weight.
