Good choice for video voiceover, podcasts, etc
This is the mic I should have gotten to begin with. The sound quality is superior and I can get decent volume while talking at a normal level. It is just a USB plug so setting it up is a snap. I use it with Cyberlink Power Director 2025 so it is compatible with the computer and software. Good value for the quality.

Sounds better than any $100 mic with A/D has a right to sound
As good as the first-gen original. As an audio guy, this mic sounds better than it has any right to sound for $100. The capsule engineering is completely bonkers and makes no sense... until you hear it. This is THE mic I recommend to anyone who wants to start podcasting. It's foolproof. Is it a Neumann U67? No. But the Neumann also doesn't have an A/D converter built in or multiple patterns and it's not, uh, $100. And the Neumann requires some technique and will pop plosives and sss sylibants. Somehow, the Yeti doesn't. I have no idea how that works. I have fancy mics, but this is my go-to when I need to plug-n-play without futzing with other gear.

One of the best microphones I've used. With a few drawbacks....
PROS:Right out of the box I was astounded. It had weight, it looked clean, and was very well packaged. The information packet included in the box was very detailed, but in a way that someone that has never used a microphone or any audio interfaces in general could get started with no hassle. Its plug and play ability is simply amazing. Need to move it? Unplug, move, Re-plug, get to recording. Completely hassle free. The multitude of settings is almost guaranteed to have a setting that you will need for just about anything you could think of. I personally use mine for interviews, content streaming and music. Its perfect for all of those and more! I've experimented with this mic quite a bit and i will say, IT IS SENSITIVE. With the monitor on i can hear everything in my house, even unwanted things.CONS:There are very few things i found wrong with this mic, but they were enough to me to deduct one star, but not a whole star, if i could give a 4 and a half i would. Ultimately the build of the unit is solid, everything but the knobs. They are made of a cheap feeling plastic, and i don't know if they will handle constant adjusting. If you only plan to use one setting and leave the volume alone then you won't have any worries. But if you'r like me and you need to consistently adjust settings, be careful as the knobs feel like they might break right out of the box. Other than that i will say that the sensitivity of the mic is borderline ridiculous! I use software to "dumb" it down a bit and it works great. But until you really play with this thing, its hard to get the sound you want. I would highly recommend getting a shock mount for the Yeti as it picks up everything.OVERALL:If your in the market for a good mic to get started this is a really solid option, what you get for the price is insane! Blue really has outdone themselves, and making so many colors to choose from lets you really personalize your Yeti. I own 2 know and until i find something that kills them for me i will continue to use them. Just beware of the knobs being low quality and make sure you have a quiet place or some good sound suppression and you will be fine.

Just wow
This mic is amazing. The sound quality is exactly what you're needing when streaming. You can control the volume and the way you sound. It's not sensitive like other mics and set up is so easy, just plug it in and go. It's the perfect size and looks so cool! It functions just as promised so you won't be disappointed
