Worth the money
I really love this rain jacket! I ordered it and it arrived just in time for me to try it out in a heavy rainstorm that gave us more than 8 inches of rain over two days of steady rain. I live on acreage so I spend a lot of time outdoors. The jacket kept me dry and didn't get soaked through like other jackets have that caused me to have to leave them hanging up because they were too wet to wear. Another jacket that I had tore if I breathed wrong. Well, actually, I brushed up against a door frame that had a small tab of metal sticking out that wasn't even sharp but it was enough to tear the fabric of that jacket, but fortunately, the fabric in this jacket is much more durable.I am pleased with the fit of the size that I ordered. I ordered an extra large because I wanted to have plenty of room if I needed to layer up for those cold days, and it fits about right for an extra large. I should mention that I am a woman but I ordered it in men's size for the extra room. I really like the way the sleeves have extra fabric with elastic at the wrist so that you can have your arms extended while doing things like mending fence or cutting fallen trees and the rain doesn't just pour down your arm inside your sleeve. It doesn't keep it all out, but it works well enough. The price is right too. I would expect a jacket like this to be more than $100 so you're getting a good deal that sadly, is kind of rare these days with most things costing three times more than they did just a few years ago.I can't think of anything that I hate about this jacket, nor is there anything that's mildly annoying except that the snaps don't stay snapped if you are moving around a lot, but I would expect that anyway from snaps. The good news is that the jacket has a zipper too, and, as long as I'm not too lazy to make the effort to zip it up first before I head out into the storm, it works great for keeping me dry all the way down past my boot tops. One thing that I would like to add is that the jacket comes with a hood that's built into the jacket itself. That seems like a really good idea but I haven't tried it out because I really hate things around my head, so I can't say whether the hood works or not. I would think that, even if the hood itself sucks, the jacket is still worth 5 stars because you can always use an umbrella or hat and the jacket will still do its job.

Well made rain gear.
This seems to be a well made rain jacket. I'm 6'3" and weigh 225 lbs. The XXL fits me perfectly, with just enough room to wear something extra on cold day, but won't be too baggy with just a t-shirt in the summer time. The bottom of the jacket comes to about the middle of my shin area. There is elastic that fits snug around the wrist, so your sleeves won't get wet when working on something overhead. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Hoods are smaller than jacket body size; still decent rain jacket.
Let's start with the purchases.Black XL for husband (usually wears a L but I planned for layers)Lt. Blue Med for me, female. (usually buy med in men's sizes)We live in the Pacific Northwest on an island by a rainforest.Let that sink in.Rain here isn't phased by the new "techy-breathable-membranes" on the market now that barely keep you dry when you sneeze hard enough. We have wet through numerous expensive rain jackets in the last few months alone doing nothing more than walking to the mailbox, which is why I searched for un-earth friendly, old-school, KEEP YOU DRY raincoats. Here is the rundown of these. The attached hood has loose flaps that are supposed to velcro shut under your chin over the high collar on the coat. The coat is fine, it's the hoods and necks that are the issue. We both have single chins and a neck, so it's not like we have neckins that are causing the problem. Let me explain. Both jackets are very long, which is fantastic, and they have a nice fabric over the plastic shell; this does hold water and add weight when wet but is livable if you're not backpacking. Dry time isn't bad for the fabric. They also have elastic wrists that keep breezes and sideways rain out. And, as mentioned, unlike all the new "Waterproof Membranes" out on the market now, these are old-school "keep you dry" rain jackets... Nay, TRENCHCOATS that actually ...(wait for it)... KEEP YOU DRY!But.The hood's flaps and the coat's neck (when closed up) are too tight/small. I tried on my husband's jacket (XL) to check out the neck and hood closures because mine (Med) were so tight that closing them was uncomfortable and stupid. I was able to get them closed on the XL hood's neck flaps. It is still snug but I did get it to attach and it isn't choking me. It appears the necks and flaps are one size fits all; yes, the XL was minimally bigger than the Med., but not by much. I do have to crank the strings around the face of either hood to tighten the top half though because the hood's dome, wonky brim, and overall size on both jackets (excluding closure area!) could easily shelter an entire colony of sea lions. As for the husband. He can't use the hood on the XL at all; it just flaps around because he can't close the coat's neck area or the hood's neck flaps. No maybe - They are too small & tight. The body of the jacket fits fine and he can wear a jacket underneath.So.Using the jackets, regardless of size, with the hood just flopped over your head and unsecured is a hot mess. It'll just flop off your head or repeatedly smack in your face. It's annoying. Very annoying. So if you plan to wear it without the hood this is an amazing rain jacket. It keeps me dry all the way to the top of my Wellies during biblical downpours, which around here are simply referred to as "Tuesday".One more thing; the zipper pull on the light blue Med. coat is some ridiculous double-hinged delicate fru-fru they must have thought the more effeminate among us would appreciate. Every time I try to pull it up it bends and flops awkwardly which usually makes the zipper catch or unlatch at the bottom. The XL black jacket has a normal sturdy zipper thatnone would expect to find on an outdoor jacket. Fru-fru on lingerie is fine but on outdoor gear, it should be banned.Solution; I am returning the Med jacket for an L- just because of the neck and hood- and hoping the Lg doesn't have a ridiculous zipper as well. I would have kept the hubby's XL just for the hood, but the body of the XL on my short lady's body fits like a circus tent. The husband's jacket is also going back in exchange for an XXL just to see if he can get the hood and neck to fit. We are not holding our breath on those hoods and have already ordered him a separate hat.If I remember to update this when the new jackets arrive I'll let you know how it all washes out.
