HABA FantaStack Blocks - 26 Piece Fantasy Themed Building Set with Bright Designs & Prism Triangles

I originally bought 2 sets of these blocks in 2012 for our granddaughter. Now that there are two grandchildren, I bought 2 more sets. These are a low cost version of the original and I am so disappointed. The box is no longer beautiful and the blocks lack the beautiful paint they earlier sets had. Some of the blocks that came with a glittery metallic mylar looking inlay now comes with plain white paint and it just looks cheap. The favorite block for both children is the original dark green block with dots. On the back side a small green bell has been inserted and they love to shake it and listen to the bell tinkle. That block has been replaced entirely with a blue block that has a painted surface on two sides. This set of blocks looks so different from the original that I wonder if it is even really Haba and not some cheap Chinese knock-off. I will no longer buy these sets as gifts. Too bad, because the originals were really beautiful and high quality. Amazon should have Haba look into this issue and determine if they are genuine. The photos I've attached show the original blocks with the new version. The green block is the front and back with the replacement block front and back. You can clearly see where the metallic details are now just white paint.

We loved the Haba Fantastack Building Blocks! The colors on the blocks were bright and captivating. Each block was also designed in a unique way. Some with swirls or tiny doorways. Others with mirrors or peak-through holes. The blocks also offered a wide variety of shapes that seem very exclusive to this set and brand. There were blocks shaped liked stairways, half-spheres, cylinders, squares, triangles, arches, pyramids, and a couple with tiny wooden balls on top for decoration.The pieces seemed very well made and sturdy. They were solid wood. My one year old twins had a lot of fun stacking the blocks and exploring their various shapes, sizes, and decorations. They loved the blocks with the mirrors and the ones with the holes the best.The item arrived quickly; within 3 days of my order being placed. The item was as described on the product page. The product was packaged well with large-sized bubble wrap surrounding the item; to ensure it arrived safely. The package was intact without any smashed corners, upon arrival.

Super cute little set of wooden blocks. I love the bright colors and assorted shapes and my 1.5 year old girl really enjoys stacking them. My 4 year old likes to copy the picture on the box and build it the same way. I think these blocks are great! My only wish was that there were more than 36 pieces. You can’t really build much unless you have like 2 or 3 sets of these, but it’s just the right amount for a 1-2 year old to keep them occupied for a while.

I purchased this item for my 3 year-old son for Christmas, and not only has he enjoyed it, but so haven’t all his friends ranging in age from 15 months thru 5! They love the clear blocks and the colorful designs on some of the blocks and there is just enough in the box to get creative with. I do wish there were a few more blocks included in the set so they could share more, but that would also mean more to pick up for mom! I definitely recommend this product to parents who want to promote less electronics for our youngest generation.

SO disappointed with the quality bc I had purchased theseborigibally a couple years ago - exact same blocks - but the quality has been lost. They are fine, but nothing like the beautiful color and feel of the older ones made by Haba. Clearly a cost cutting thing. They were my favorite kids toy and I wanted more for my second child. But due to the quality change, I'm done with haba.

My grandkids love these blocks!!!! Going to order more!!

My 4 year old loves to play with blocks of any kind. He enjoys making tunnels, bridges, airports..... I've been on the hunt for durable blocks with texture and color, so he can enhance his design skills. The "step" blocks is what sold me on this set. He replicates buildings then uses figures to do different "plays" (as he says). Additionally, my two year old is just now grasping the concept of colors. This entire set is made very well, packaged beautifully and priced appropriately (for what you get).
