Finally, some water-resistant cans that sound good
First off, it's important to note that these headphones fill a niche: somebody who wants an over-ear style closed-back headset that has some degree of water/dust resistance (in this case, IP55). They probably shouldn't be the only pair of headphones you own and use. These are ideal for exercise (since they can handle sweat) or anywhere they might get hit with drops of rain or sand. You can even use them in the bathtub without worry of splashing on them (unlike most other over-ear sets), but be very careful not to submerge or drop them in the water. If you don't need the water resistance, you can find better audio quality and comfort. For home listening, I'd suggest springing a bit more for a comfortable open-back headset set, and for casual listening outside the house, high quality earbuds (which I'd also suggest springing a bit more for) are still ideal. However, my problem with earbuds is that when exercising, my ear canals tend to tighten up and they become extremely uncomfortable. This set is built to stay on your head while exercising, so it can feel a bit tight after a couple hours, but the earpads have a soft "cooling gel" that is better than other sets I've used, and it definitely gets more comfortable after a short break-in period. As an added bonus, the pads are removable and the outer lining is washable (although they feel pretty durable, I'm curious to see how long they last). The headband has a strip of rubber to soften the pressure, but it does feel a bit too hard and some comfort improvements could be made there. On the other hand, it feels built like a tank - they're light on your head, but still feel extremely durable. Other bonuses include a standard audio jack as an option instead of Bluetooth, big sturdy volume control buttons that aren't a pain to use like most headset controls, and an insane battery that lasts ages (I got at least the manufacturer spec of 35 hours, using them 2-3 hours a day for nearly two weeks without needing to recharge). These weren't the first pair of water-resistant cans I bought from Phillips. The previous version was the SH402, which I bought based on goodwill coming from their excellent X2 headphones I've used for years. These were an absolute travesty, with buzzing out of one side and audio quality that sounded like somebody playing music under a couch in the next room with the door closed, and I'd never returned something so fast. The A4216 set VASTLY improves on these, with very good audio quality. It's still not top-tier in the pure audio department or anything - it's a bit overly bassy with a hint of a muffled quality in the way a lot of closed-back headsets that are built to prevent audio leakage are - but it's more than good enough as a minor compromise to balance out the other benefits this set has (especially for the reasonable price), and again, if you don't need an exercise/water-resistant headset, you'd probably want to look elsewhere anyway. If you happen to be in that particular market though, I'm not sure you can really do much better than these.

Best OVER the ear earphones!
I use them in the office. It's an open space and I make a lot of phone calls. God voice quality, Good microphone quality, Good noice cancelation! can connect to multiple devices: I connected to my iPhone and Mac, meaning, I can listen to the music from laptop and if I have an incoming call on my iPhone, it comes through too. no need to disconnect from Mac and connect to iPhone back and forth. Also most importantly:It is OVER the ear, Not ON ear - So it does not touch your ears at all, which is the best quality of this earphones.

Not perfect, BUT great sound and work for my needs...
I have had these for about a week. I was looking for a headset I could use for home office with audio, but could also be used for walks outdoors. I ordered one prior to this and they made my ears sweat, and were not so comfortable due to how large and plasticy feel the ear cushion was despite it's decent reviews, but they KEPT disconnecting from my lap top off and on mid calls, which was a FAIL... so I returned them and then ordered these.PROS:They are very sturdy, don't feel cheap at all.The sound quality (my oppinion) is GREAT - deep base, but sound is clear, and decent, loud enough.Fit snug I suppose if you will workout, run, they should stay put.The ear peice is like a soft mesh which I like better than some fake leather/rubber type ones that make your ear sweat. They have NOT disconnected ONCE from my laptop and I use them all day.Cons:They are a bit tight, which is good I guess if you will run/jog...but I think moving forward I will get ON ear vs over the ear, because they put pressure (not ALOT) enough where I just don't LOVE it.While the sound QUALITY is very good, they don't get very loud, but it's like the perfect amount, not too loud not too soft I suppose. I HAVE Not hooked them to my phone yet so they might be different there. There is a little rubber peice that covers the charge hole, my last set just had a slot, I am quite sure this will break off eventually.I have not tried to see if I can connect to 2 things - phone and computer, like go between the 2.I think won't I really don't like is the HEAD cusion - quite frankly it sucks. It is not even a cushion, more of a semi soft extra layer of rubber. My last set (Sol Republic) were SOOOOO soft at the top like a pillow of cussion and the PERFECT ear fit, not too much not too little and super soft I barely noticed them HOWEVER they were not a tight fit and would move sometimes when running - why didn't I get their latest model? they were like $160 but I probably will next time. It last me like 4 years! LOL :)- and final con, is lately people are like what? I cannot really hear you - but the volume is on full volume..that doesn't happen each call..so we shall see.IF you just want for SALES or home office, maybe a headset for that is better suited. BUT I wanted to be able to use it for that AND outdoors, so I opted for this. :)Hope that helps.
