Lovely and useful
I’ve now had this teak bench for over a year and it’s held up very well. The finish holds up very nicely as well as sturdiness. It also looks lovely in our bathroom and serves multiple functions as is shown in the advert.I did hold off on reviewing initially as I did want to be certain it held up.

Looks good, doesn't work for intended purpose
The design is terrible. The bottom shelf is only wedged into shallow notches on the inside of the legs, causing the shelf to fall out as soon as any weight is applied to the surface. The legs are attached to the frame with a SINGLE screw at each corner and they span an inch or so of clear space leaving them exposed to water. After two months of occasional use in the shower, all of the screws holding the seat to the frame have completely rusted and two of them have fallen out. The only way I can see any value in this product is if it's not actually used as a bench or in a wet location - perhaps home staging? I'm past the return window so these will be going in the trash and I'll chalk this experience up to "lesson learned, you get what you pay for".

Nice design, Easy to Assemble
Cute, sturdy stool that fits perfectly in the space next to the sink. The size is so optimal that it can holds all my wife's makeup accessories and I have used if for a two weeks, will update the review if anything happens after a few months of use. So far so good and I highly recommend it. Thanks.

Assembly instructions could be better. They mislabel both types of fasteners as bolts. They are not.
I am the family assembler of stuff. There are bolts and screws required for assembly which are included, but the instructions DO NOT differentiate between them as they are ALL referred to as bolts. The illustrations are not helpful in distinguishing where the screws go. The smaller screws to attach the handle are included but not listed. Save yourself a trip to the hardware store and use the long screws for the seat, the bolts for the legs. Other than that it seems to be beautiful, functional, and sturdy.

Lovely at first, quickly fell apart
7 months ago I purchased this item, the first box that came was all the pieces loose and had screws missing. No sweat, easy to exchange! The replacement was properly boxed and had all the pieces. It was easy to assemble and I thought it seemed sturdy enough.I purchased this as a shower seat, and I feel it’s important to note that no one using it weighed over 180#. Between August and January I have had to tighten the screws many times and the lower shelf and a screw kept falling out. Most recently, the legs started to splay while I was sitting on it in the shower. I had tightened all the screws a few days prior. It is not safe and we feel we wasted money on this purchase.

Decent design undermined by poor execution. Usable with modifications.
Had I turned this in as my woodworking project in 5th grade shop class, old Mr. Jensen would probably have given me a B- and a pretty long lecture on the importance of patience, care, and honesty in performing the work we do. He would likely have ended with 'if it isn't done right, it isn't actually done'.So here's the deal: this hasn't been done right, and it isn't actually done. Like a kid trying to get an undeserved grade, this is a product trying, not without some success, to look markedly better than what it actually is. In practice, these efforts allow the manufacturer to make marketing claims that sound good but which turn out to be largely meaningless. For examples:- this is touted as 'solid wood'. In practice, this is solid wood in pretty much the same way as meatloaf is solid meat. Both are made by compressing scraps, fillers, and a binder. Nothing wrong with meatloaf, mind you. Love me a good meatloaf. But it is deceitful to pretend it's a roast. Just like it's deceitful to suggest that this product has solid wood's ability to hold up better in wet conditions.- it is variously described as lacquered, varnished, water-resistant, and waterproof. Well, there *is* a limited amount of low-quality varnish on it. In places. There are also many large areas where there is not. It has basically been passed under a spray nozzle. There is little or no varnish on the side of the slats of the bottom shelf for example, or under the seat, or in dozens of other small places. Which, for a shower bench means that it might as well not be varnished at all. It will have little or no ability to resist mold or mildew. It is described as sturdy, and strong because of it's A-shaped construction. Well, it is A-shaped. But A-shaped designs get their strength from the crossmember being attached to both legs. In this case, the crossmember (the little lower shelf) is simply slotted into cutouts in the legs. It is not attached at all. No attachment, no strength. You get the idea, everything is poorly done - poorly built, poorly sanded, poorly finished. There are two reasonable scenarios where you could be happy with this product, as long as you buy it at a discount. 1. You just want to use it as a plant stand or magazine rack, not as a shower bench. 2. You are willing to make up for the undone work by wood-gluing the bolted and screwed joints together, sanding down the all the rough spots, stripping the poor finish, and applying a heavy coat of polyurethane, boatbuilders lacquer, or spar varnish. If you are willing to do that (I am), and you are willing to set it out of the shower when not in use, and set it outside of the shower and dry it down after it has been used, then you might still have it serving its intended purpose and still looking decent in a few years.

well worth the price
This bench is beautiful, sturdy and well made. My husband and I are "large economy size" people and this works beautifully in our new bathroom. I leave it in the shower and it makes our bathroom look beautiful, peaceful and inviting. I can use it to shave my legs, and we can move it under the rain shower for a relaxing long hot shower. Well worth the price.

Sturdy and durable
Solid wooden pieces that come together into a sturdy stand. Perfect for the bathroom, but I’m actually using it as a plant stand, with spare pots and tools on the bottom. Protip: to make the building process easier, I’d recommend connecting the 4 legs to the bracket (not fully tightened yet —95% only) BEFORE securing the bracket to the top of the bench (the instructions say the opposite). This way you have more range of motion to secure the legs (the other way it takes more time and energy!). This bench definitely is secure. I can sit on it without any wobble. The rubber on the legs give it great grip on my floors too.
