Capricorn Goat Cheese Logs, Plain, 24 Ounce (Pack of 4)

This Goat Cheese is Amazing ! I have counted my refrigerator packs that come with the cheese and I am about to make my 5th order after finding out about this cheese over a little more than a month ago. My 13 year old daughter loves goat cheese and we frequently make goat cheese pizzas. After making the pizza, she licks the inside of the package Clean ! I have a hard time keeping both my 9 and 13 year-old daughters from eating the logs before I make the pizzas. Yes, goat cheese is more expensive then other types of cheese but its because it comes from goats and not cows, and I believe the process to make it can be more detailed. For cheeses, you get what you pay for ! I have found this to be the best-priced goat cheese anywhere. You get four logs of cheese, the Packaging is outstanding with 2 cold refrigerator packets, the Foil Refrigerator Bag it comes in, and the bubble wrap around all that. It is sent by expedited service so you receive it quickly. I have found that it should be ordered early in the week so it does not sit in a shipping warehouse over the weekend waiting to be delivered. In addition to all that, the Large refrigerator bags are re-usable to carry other cold items in. On really hot days I put some of my grocery items in these bags to prevent them from melting on the trip home from the grocery store. Also, the re-usable refrigerator (re-cooled) packs are great to include in school lunches for my kids. I wouldn't purchase goat cheese anywhere else now ! You get all this ... with that Great price ! P.S. If you have never had a goat cheese pizza yet....you haven't lived !

Okay, this really needs to be said... good good good!!! This cheese is as good as any high-end brand goat cheese I've purchased ever. Goat cheese is so delicious and it's very good for you being high in calcium, protein, vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin B, phosphorus, niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium and is better for you than bovine cheeses. It is easy on the stomach for those of you like me who need the occasional probiotic to get back to normal again. Also, if you are lactose intolerant, this is the one for you. they come in plastic airtight bags which split at the end and peel back like a stick of string cheese, so are easy to remove into another container for keeping. Goat cheese is a great substitute for cream cheese and makes a wonderful spread. Add a few tablespoons of half and half and it turns into a very spreadable cheese, or if again you cannot tolerate milk, use your favorite healthy oil to smooth it out. Add to your spread favorites like sun dried tomato, pimento, capers, olives, mushrooms, bacon, or my personal favorite... smoked salmon! I've been spreading this on my new favorite Wasa sesame thin crackers with a bit of granulated garlic, sea salt, and ground 5 peppercorn blend but you can choose and add your own available herbs and spices naturally. Crumble some over salad and add a few diced English or Black Walnuts. YUM. Whatever you like, just give it a try and I'm sure you'll love this cheese too. It is a little pricey, but used properly a little can go a long way and it can be frozen for a few weeks. It has a reasonable shelf life in the refrigerator as well, but once you wrap your lips around some of this cheese I don't think you'll need to worry about that much.

I went on the low lectin diet to cure what ails me (IBS for one thing) and it works (no IBS anymore) but I am not naturally a cook or baker, so my diet has been basic. I spread this cheese lightly on my eggs and they go from OK to frickin' awesome.

Tangy. Happy to have four, although somewhat pricey for an American product; yet I am happy to buy American. I am in love with the Capricorn brand name and the cute blue goat image. I opened one, immediately ate half of it; the rest will be for an upcoming patio party with platters of sliced tomatoes etc. etc. Highly receommend this product. Packagin was good, and shipping quick.

Very tasty cheese. Shipping was fast and luckily my husband got home before it got too warm in front of our door. Perishable products should be shipped in the evening and not during the day especially at this time of the year.
