Clik-Elite - getting better, not perfect yet
To sum it up, this pack is excellent on your back, but only offers moderate protection for your gear. Don't get me wrong, it is padded and protected alright, just not anywhere near as well as the competition. But Clik-Elite is getting a little better in this regard.I'm in the midst of an African trip where my luggage is getting a real workout. It carries all the gear I need (Canon 5DII w/grip, 100-400mm lens, 70-200, 16-35, 50mm, plus flash, tele-extender,and small tripod with head. Filters and accessories I've put in the extra top compartment, in their own padded organizer pouches, and there is still plenty of room for jacket, food, etc. in the large top compartment. The design is excellent for those who want to take some clothes, lunch, maybe a book, along with the camera gear. I also have taken it carry-on with no problems on a variety of aircraft. My gear has remained in good shape, but I am careful how I set the pack down, and generally don't let anyone else handle it (tough in Africa where everyone wants to help with your luggage).Tripod attaches on the side (if it's small), or when hiking and/or with a larger tripod (like my cxpro3), it's best to put it on the back of the pack, where it rides very nicely, no swinging. So again, know what Clik-elite does well: make packs that one can wear all day on a hike or climb. Try that with the cubical packs made my the other big brands, and you're likely to be thrown off a ridge by the swinging weight, or give up and take it off with aching shoulders. If Clik-elite can get the protection thing down without compromising their excellent comfort, they will be all alone in the field of camera backpacks.

Great bag for all your stuff.
This is a great bag. Very well made and looks quality. I have a Sony NEX-7, lenses, microphones, GoPro's, etc. and most of my kit fit nicely in the lower unit. My only issue with the bag is that it comes with a limited set of separators that are installed for a typical application. I have smaller stuff than the typical mega SLR and wanted to create smaller spaces and more of them. No extra separators came with the bag, and Clik Elite does not seem to sell them separately. So, my organization is sub optimal.

I like the backpack and have taken it on at least ...
I bought this mainly to hike with photo gear. I also bought a chest pack. I now use the chest pack almost exclusively for carrying my camera and use this bag for just a normal backpack. I do sometimes carry extra lenses in the camera gear section. I like the backpack and have taken it on at least 10 hikes now, with at least 3 of 15 miles or more.I also bought a couple of Htdrapak bladders/hoses and they work well with the bag. No complaints.

It’s not so comfortable
The camera compartment is relative big.My Canon 6D with attached 24-70 lens, 70-200 lens, flash and charger were placed without any problems. On the other hand, I’m not sure that there is enough place for an additional lens.Access to the gear is not difficult but you have to open the camera compartment zipper fully.Attached tripod prevents accessing to the gear. The main issue, that I had, was fitting of the bag to my back:I tried to balance and tune the loaded bag. However I spent a lot of time but I didn’t get to a good balance. My previous Lowepro Rover Plus bag had a significantly better balance

Love this camera backpack
I've used this as both a camera pack and a backpack. Very we planned out as a camera pack if it is appropriate for you amount of gear. Makes a workable backpack if you remove the camera dividers.

Great bag, but big and not the easiest to access.
This is a great big, but it's very large. I liked it a lot, and got it on sale, but I ended up selling it on eBay and buying the Obscura, it's still a little larger that I'd prefer but fits the bill much better than the Venture 35 did. Never even removed the tags from the Venture.Offers excellent protection for your gear and plenty of room. Would be great for a professional with a lot of equipment I'm sure, but I needed quicker access to my equipment and I had to completely remove the bag to get my camera out without fear of something else falling out despite several rearrangements of the internal compartments.I gave this 4 stars because I know it would be excellent for someone with a full size camera and more professional than I. However, I'm only a novice with an APS-C camera (D5000), I needed a bag that was easier to travel, hike, and bike with and quicker to access on the go. For my uses I would probably have given this bag 2 stars, and only because it is of great build quality and very protective.

It's About YOU... then about the BACKPACK!
Does this describe YOU? "I need a Photography Backpack that I can do `day hiking'- 2 miles shoot, 2 miles shoot, etc. It needs to have generous room for equipment, but must have room for clothing layers/food". EQUIPMENT: D7100, 50m, 35m, 11-16m,17-50m, 70-300m, Cokin system with 3 filters, 4 circular UV or polarizers, blower, brush, cleaner, extra batteries, SD cards. ME STUFF: bag lunch, rain pants/rain jacket, fleece jacket, gloves, water bottles.I have a Lowepro 300 AW. Was going up to a 400AW. Plenty of camera storage, but no storage for ME STUFF. Venture 35 PROS: heavy construction, industrial zippers, multiple harness adjustments (a must for comfort), custom lens dividers, centered tripod holder, rainfly, very good ME STUFF space, medium bag weight (3.5lbs), great price. CONS: decent, not great camera/lens storage--it does fit my list with manipulation & planning. Bag load comfort good, not great (5 down to 4 stars).RECOMMENDATION: For the price you won't find a better quality bag. I have done two hikes- you must adjust load and straps to get optimal fit. Bag comfort is now good and fits MY needs. See FStop Guru or Loka if you want to spend more money,... but plausible alternative.

Praktisch. Flexible
Together with the attachable chest carrier the backpack allows you to have the camera quickly accessible and still be able to use walking sticks. The backpack could be improved with more external straps to attach bulky equipment e.g. sleeping bag, etc. The camera compartment provides enough room for all the gear you need on a day hike. Overall the backpack seems robust, though other manufacturers offer a better back Ventilation System. As you can remove the camera compartment dividers, it can be used as a normal backpack with plenty of room for all you might need on a 1-2 day hike.

Delivered in 24 hours! Very impressed.
I ordered it on a Monday at 2:50pm, and it was delivered the next day at my work place by 3pm! (In Quebec City) Very impressive. The product is totally as expected. High quality, very comfortable and extremely convenient. It is a dream bag for passionate amateur photographer. My coworkers want to order their own now. There are no dedicated compartment for a laptop, but I will feel comfortable to put a little 13" machine in the upper compartment, at least for urban environment.Great job, guys.

otherwise a very good product.
It is too tall for a small framed person, it may be helpful if the height of the person required to carry this backpack is also mentioned. otherwise a very good product.
