This is a handy versatile light. Arrived as described. Just unscrew cap remove battery carousel and add 3 AAA batteries, return screw cap on and go. One click is low and two clicks high, third click off. The spacer is nice for eye use I marked mine to keep at a 3" distance. With the aluminum design it stays very cool. To use on skin just remove the foam spacer. I've only used it for a couple of days, I hope it lasts. So far it's working very well as expected.

Works great! Nice to have both low and high beams.

Like the design, feel and potential utility. Put three fresh batteries into flashlight but it would not light. Returned for refund. Buyer be ware.

I am using this for red light treatment of my eyes. The product works well and seems to provide the expected 670 nm wavelength for vision therapy. The only restrictions on its functionality are the lack of a 3 minute timer as recommended in red light vision studies and the fact that you can really only do one eye at a time. I still use this on occasion for extra treatment of my worst eye but have primarily switched to a pair of rechargeable red light glasses with a built-in 3 minute timer when I do both eyes. Those glasses do cost several times what I paid for this flashlight type unit, however.

I originally had an issue with the flashlight and seller went above and beyond to correct the issue. I did a second replacement of batteries, even though the initial batteries I installed were new, and got the flashlight to work. Seller, no need for the gift card as I am not returning this item 5 stars for great customer service and a good product.

The brighter setting stopped working after a few uses. It appears to be a problem in the switch. The lower setting still works for now.

I bought this light to view my 14 pet tarantulas in the dark, because that is when they tend to ld their spidery things.Tarantulas cannot see red light, and after using this right up in their faces multiple times, I can say that is seems to be 100% red light. They have no idea if is there.It is bright and seems like a quality device... But this is one issue that I have using this further...Possibly from the light glare created off of the acryllic enclosures, but after using this for an extended period of time, my eyes see colors differently.The first time is used this for about 30 minutes I'm the dark watching Teddy, my Honduran Curly Hair tarantula molt. As I was climbing back into bed at 2:30am, I noticed that the nightlight down the hall looked very blue. I giggled to myself and immediately passed out the second my head touched the pillow.Now tonight I spent a good hour watching my girls eat after a feeding and do their spider-stuff using the light. Afterwards I notice that other red lights (such as my snakes heat lamps and my Hue lights) looked yellow. They have slowly started becoming increasing orange, but 4 hours later, they still look orange.I assume that I will be able to see the color red again when I wake up, but I don't think that I will be using this light again for anything other than short bursts.tl:drLight is awesome and better quality than I expected. 100% pure red light, but I have safety concerns and will discontinue routine use.
