Great gift idea. My daughter-in-law loves this. She grew up making anything and everything from scratch and loves to work with essential oils.

Bought for my 11yo as Easter gift. I would be hesitant to let her use by herself initially since the heating element could definitely burn her or anything else around if not paying close attention. Easy to use. Instructions were clear. Came with plenty of supplies for making plenty of candles. I would say you have more scents/colors/petals than you will use for the amount of wax that is provided. We did not use a full amount of essential oil per bag of melts and the candles still smelled wonderful. My daughter had fun creating scents and writing out the labels. Be cautious in how much of the petals are used in the candles so that you don’t accidentally start a small fire while burning your new candles like I did 😅. I would recommend this product for those interested in learning to make candles.

The cord on the hot plate and the feet melted shortly after I plugged it in for the first time. I contacted them through Amazon and they offered a refund. I AM going to purchase this again and give it another chance. Fingers crossed the next one works.4 stars because they took care of the problem so quickly.If the next one is defective I'll update my review.
