the kit was just what i needed

Board is of low quality
I’ve done 4 velleman soldering projects without an issue. Until this one. This one was different. I had two traces lift off right from the start. If I left the tip on the joint long enough to melt the solder the trace would start moving around. Hakko Fx and the 660 F tip. lowest temperature tips that they make for it. Compared to a boards of two previous projects and they were much different quality in appearance as well

Good solder experience. So so performance.
Good soldering experience/teaching set. Only so so performance as a sensor device. Not too forgiving on aim and not a lot of distance.
