StarTech.com 1U Server Rack Shelf - Vented Rack Mount Cantilever Tray for 19" Network Rack & Cabinet, 44lb/20kg, 10" Deep

Could have purchased something cheaper, but it would probably not meet my expectations from the reviews I read. This met my expectations and functions perfectly. Easy to install, all installation parts are included, and the quality control is good.

Very sturdy shelf unit. Noticeably stronger than an existing one already in my relay rack. Came with some square screw holders which seems to be for a different kind of rack than my relay rack I use. So I will have to use my own rack screws since the ones it came with are too big. I did notice that the spec sheet it comes with says 44lb max weight while the amazon page listing says 50lbs.

Very happy with the shelf - its heavy duty and fit perfectly into the rack. I'm using it for a non-rack mount interface, and it easily allows me to run cables to the back or front.

Equipment like this has a ton of competition it’s a metal sheet folded.I appreciated the fact that all of the mounting hardware was in the box.

First off, Solid product. Great build quality, no sharp edges, but I couldn't use it for what I purchased it for.There is a lip at the front/bottom of the shelf, I believe this gives it rigidity. The problem is, this lip takes away some of the "1U" height.You can see this in the product pictures: The bottom screw hole for the ears are lower than the shelf itself. I intended to place two Dell Micro Computers (slightly smaller than 1U) on this shelf, but unfortunately that lip reduces the usable shelf height and they didn't have enough clearance to fit on the shelf, so I had to go with a different shelf and re-purpose this for another day.Looks great though!

Perfect small wall mount rack shelf. This shelf is very sturdy!! Doesn't flex at all. Seems I always need a shelf to set something on... power bricks, POE injectors, keyboard, etc.Didn't have much in the way of instructions... but not really needed. If you can't figure it out, you probably are in over your head.

This shelf is study! It's well gauged to hold plenty of weight and I have no doubt it can live up to its specs. I use two with a StarTech 4U under-mount rack for audio gear, and they're the perfect depth for easy access to all connections. The vent slots allow for the heat dissipation of my amp while keeping my DAC cool. Well worth the price for a better built shelf.
