Put them in the lowest position during install.
The hardest part is getting the door out of the frame. Turned out it really wasn't hard once you figured it out. I have an Andersen or maybe Jen Weld (Andersen off brand). I had to remove about 6 screws from the top track. Then the door popped out from the top. Lift it up and off it comes. To replace the rollers was super simple. Just carefully lay the door on its long slide so you can see the bottom. The older rollers are supposed to be held in with two screws each. Mine only had one screw each which isn't a big deal because the weight of the door will old them in.Anyway, removing the old slider may require a little prying with a flat head screw driver on the sides of it since they press fit in. Then just put the new ones in and replace the screw(s). Bam, put the door back in and wow! I should've done this 10 years ago. It's a replaceable item. You don't need a new door, just these sliders. The door slides like it was brand new. My old sliders actually had flat spots on the wheels. No wonder why it was such a pain to slide. One thing to remember. After you re-install the door you may have to level it. These rollers have a side leveling adjustment. But what's not obvious is that you turn counter-clockwise to raise the slider and clockwise to lower it. You can confirm this by trying it in your hand before install. Last thing, when you install them is to be sure to have them in the lowest (counter clockwise) position before installing the door back in. Then adjust for levelness.
