Flatbed tarp patched
I didn’t wanna spend 300+ on a pro tool, so I bought this gun. The only use I got for it is patching the traps of my flatbed. I wanted to try something different than vinyl glue. I read many reviews of different hot air guns, and since most are about the same price, I went with the official amazon tool designed by them. I figure that if it was not good enough it would be an easy return. Today it was put to work, I did 5 Big patch already and the results are awesome. It packs the necessary heat for 18oz vinyl to use the soldering method of patching rather than glueing! The gun is already worth the money I spend since a good vinyl glue would cost me about half the price but I would have used it all. If it last for one more round, with another tarp I need to fix it will be cheaper than glue and better, since once the vinyl melts both pieces are gone be patch forever! Thanks for the amazing gun at a good price!Update. I was finishing patching my tarp and one of the kids broke the Christmas light on my yard. Got a water bottle cup and soldered the two pieces back together. I guess it got more used than what I though!

prefect tool to separate lcd from digitizer
I purchased Tacklife HGP73AC Heat gun to repair the broken screen of my phone. It is a prefect tool to separate lcd from digitizer. It features 1600 watt heat power, adjustable heat settings so I can use it for plenty of things. It has a built-in stand for convenience. It comes with two deflector nozzles that protect glass and other surfaces, and a reflector nozzle that speeds up the process. Also, it comes with an air reduction nozzle. Pros: Adjustable heat setting, four different nozzles, built-in stand. Cons: It doesn’t include a case for storage

Excellent value - almost
The quality of the heat gun itself is there, to be sure. It's the documentation that doesn't give us a clue what the settings actually are that is sorely lacking (hence, minus 1 star) in quality. This heat gun works really well. I had to deduct that one star though because there is not enough documentation that even explains what the different settings and temps actually are. There is just a dial and a switch but no explanation of how the combos of those two actually work. Therefore, I love the heat gun, but without documentation, there is a learning curve that shouldn't exist. I don't want to spend a ton of time figuring out what I need this to do and at what temp. I want to get the job done and know what the settings are. Is that too much to ask? :)

Perfect at first/ maybe? READ UPDATE
So we have purchased 3 of these heat guns. The worked amazingly. But close to three months one dies. Then a week later the second one dies. The fans still work on them but now it won’t heat up at all.We registered all three guns when we bought them. So we have turned in for a warranty. At first they said no problem. Then later via email they said we needed a video showing what the problem was. Again said we will send new ones out. But wait, now they send another email asking that we video both heat guns. So we made one. This is where we are in this process today. I’m hoping we got a bad batch of heat guns and they will last. But it doesn’t look good currently. The third heat gun is still running but we didn’t take it out of the box until the others died.I will update this when we get warranties fulfilled and if the third heat gun goes beyond three months.Update 8/21/19We bought three and all three died after three months of use.The company sent replacements for them. Now about three months all have died again. We won’t continue bothering with the warranty we will look for a better product.

Fantastic heat gun for the price!
Adjustable temperature and air flow is fairly uncommon at this price point. The controls for air flow (and to turn it off) are on the handle itself - unlike some high price units where they put it on the back/top of the heat gun - this way you can turn it on and control air flow with one hand. Temperature needs a second hand but this is still a fantastic heat gun.

Yes, it's fixed!
My husband will put this to use with many of his work projects but the thing we bought it for was to repair damaged cords with a plastic soldering set. Our puppy bit through a few phone charging cords, two lamp cords, and the cord to my brand new hydroponic garden! (Yes, we also got better at putting cords out of his way - and he didn't get hurt.) My husband was able to use the plastic soldering set and this heat lamp to repair these cords and not have to throw away the items. And the dog gets to live another day ;)

Nice heat gun, but I don't believe it gets as hot as stated!
I purchased this to replace a cheaper HF heat gun that finally died. This one is much quieter and is much more comfortable to hold. However, I do not believe it gets anywhere near the rated temperature. My HF which I don't believe was rated to this temp got much hotter than this. On its hottest setting, I can't even peel paint. I also notice that the heat emitted from around the gun is not that hot. I can actually hold my hand near the front. I would say it gets slightly hotter than a hair dryer. Maybe I got a dud, but it got hot enough to get the decal glue to release. That is what I purchased this for in the first place.

Worked like it is suppose to
I purchased this to assist in installing my wheel well covers. But it will get a lot of other uses in the future. Removing stickers, shrink wrapping wires, etc. I haven't used a heat gun in the past so I don't have anything to compare it with, however, I know if I had to do it again, I'd like to have one with a digital temp readout to know how much heat you're putting out. However, this worked very well for my application and I have no issues with it. I think it's going to become a busy tool in my shop. I can't comment on how durable it is, having only used it for 1 application, but it seem to be well made.

excellent heat adjustment function @ 3 separate levels. Solid build quality.
I've been using it for a few months so far and it's been very reliable. It's best feature would be the heat adjustment dial on the back of the main body. The power switch can be set to any of 3 levels. Low, medium, and high. Then, the temperature can be further adjusted by turning the dial at the back from "1 - 7" it's a smooth adjustment so you can fine tune the exact temperature you get. It has a great temperature range, from low, won't burn your skin, to "infernal flames of mount doom." Very versatile temperature range. I specifically searched for a non-digital heat gun, without the thin membrane switches or digital readout or other gimmicks, which all like to fail. This uses a rotary potentiometer for the fine temperature adjustment, and is a large inset dial with fins around its perimeter so it's extremely easy to adjust, while being recessed, it won't be accidentally knocked. With a little stretch, you can adjust it one handed, using the thumb of your gripping hand. Build quality is very solid, power cord is also heavy duty, high gauge, and a decent length.

A good solid heat gun with a nice control-range over the heat/airflow. But, what's really clever about this gun is that you can stand it on its butt and use two hands to work on something. Try heat-molding plastic pipe with this gun and you'll understand how useful this feature is...

Awesome gun for the price.
I bought this for light duty use. Don’t need a heat gun all that often so I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on one. This thing is pretty decent quality for the price and puts out really good heat. I like that you can adjust the fan speed and the heat setting is variable.
