A Perfect Compact Chair
I purchased these for a golf tournament for me & my wife. They were the allowable size to get into the tournament and they worked extremely well. Solid, sturdy, quality and easy to open and close. The chair comes with the shoulder strap already in place. To open the chair, all you need to do is place the three legs on the ground, then press down on the forward most leg (looks like a black button) on the front most leg and the legs and canvass seat and backrest opens. The shoulder strap drapes over and behind the backrest To close you simply pull up on the shoulder strap, put the strap over your shoulder and press together the three legs. The weight is not too heavy for my 120lb wife to carry. One reviewer said the chair is prone to falling backward - - no, that was not my experience. If you shift all of your weight backward sure, this is a three legged chair. I compared other similar small chairs and this was the highest one which is a plus. Also, important, the shoulder strap comes already assembled for collapsing the chair. Resist the temptation to unsnap the shoulder strap because it looks like it's woven into the legs - nope, that is woven in there to make the pull up on the strap collapse work. Leave that alone. All said, one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon in a long time.

Perfect for my needs
I'm elderly (84) and mobility handicapped, unable to stand. I needed something to take with me to doctor appointments to sit on while waiting for my ride home. I tried several backpacking stools in this price range, and this was the lightest and also the tallest, making it easy to carry, and also easy to sit down and get up from (I'm 5' tall). I can clip it onto my crossbody bag using the carabiner and the additional weight is negligible. Sets up in a flash like an automatic umbrella or a collapsible cane (which I also carry with me). Collapsing it is a bit harder than setting it up, but since my upper body strength is average for my age, and I'm accustomed to collapsing my cane, I have no difficulty collapsing this stool. While I wouldn't want to sit on it for an hour, it's fine for 20-30 minutes. I'm pleased with it. I may have been able to find something more comfortable but it would have cost around $100 or more AND been heavier to carry, so this is perfect for my needs. BTW, the GCI Quik-E-Seat Portable Camping Stool, made by the same company, is supremely comfortable, much more so than this stool, but the extra weight of it made walking harder for me. A large person who could handle the weight might be more comfortable with that choice.

OK chair but unstable
Lightweight, portable, fairly comfortable and easily stored. The major downside is this chair is extremely unstable and easily tips when sitting down.

Great compact design for portable stool.
This is a great little three legged portable stool. I weigh 160 pounds, I’m very active, but with an aging back and bad knees, I must be able to sit for a while between longer walks or just standing. This is a great design that folds up with a solid shoulder strap for carrying. It features a canvas side pocket for holding a water bottle or snacks. It has a canvas back that actually supports me when I’m sitting once it’s open. It does require a rather unladylike way of straddling the canvas 3 legged seat when sitting or standing, but once I figured out the logistics of maneuvering within its design, it’s very comfortable. It’s solidly built, with heavy aluminum legs to support weight, but the legs do make it a bit heavy to carry for especially long distances. I just switch it from one shoulder to the other. I like this because of it’s sturdiness, and I feel quite safe once settled in the seated position.

Surprised for the price point
It’s taller then most othersIt folds smaller than others. Better for quick Lyft trips around the city waiting. It’s quick profitable as all hell. The bag attaches to my bag. It’s sturdy I’m 200lbs. I feel okay.Dispute it folding in on itself it’s a great super quick take down and set up item. Comes in handy. Very cool. Be aware the actuall butt hight and hip hight. It’s close to the ADA HIP PRECAUTION tolerances. Or the closest I’ve seen. And yea your junk will be uncomfy but you’ll not be on your feet. , and you’ll live. lol.Great product. It’ll last and I’m buying againBeware = un even terrain could be tricky. I used only in the city in pavement waiting on rides. Or brief stays at daily retail store trips.Hobo approved

Plusses and minuses
I bought this chair for a festival to carry with me so I would always have a place to sit. It was fairly lightweight. It was easier to fold compared to the others we had. The back was lower and more comfortable than a different one I tried. However the design of the carry strap made it harder to carry - it would bang against my legs as I walked. The seat was smaller than the apparently “extra-large” seats of our other tri-legged stools we already had, so it was uncomfortable to sit in for long periods of time. I ended up returning it to buy the extra large one. It would be fine for a child or a smaller sized backside.

Sturdy yet light weight
Sturdy and light. Snapped it onto my water bottle strap and it worked great. I'm impressed
