Nikon D3100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm NIKKOR VR Lens - Red (International Model no Warranty)

Love this camera. I am not a professional photographer nor am I a beginner. That said let me say this camera makes me feel like a pro. The shots are crisp, clear and true to color. I am still learning all the different functions so I will have to return to update after I learn more about my new camera. I would recomend this camera to all who want to learn how to take beautiful pictures. If it's just a point and shoot you want, well this one is good for that but it would be a shame not to learn how to take advantage of all it's feature. So I say buy and learn. You will love the pictures you can capture with this camera. The body is easy to hold and the lenses go on and off with ease. So get yourself this camera and head out to grab some great shots!!

My wife was borrowing my D300 when I bought a D7100. So many buttons that I wanted something easier to use. My brother is a novice and he got one and loves it, learns fast and his shots come out good. My wife has played with it and took some shots but has not really got into it yet. I think it will be perfect for her, does all the cools stuff without all the high end features

When it comes to photography and videography this is a must starter. I bought this a couple years ago - and just know reviewing it. But I have used it on more than 1000 occasions. I have since purchased a 55-200 mm and have shot weddings and videos over 150 personal youtube videos. If you are looking for a cheaper camera (since the 3100 is almost a 5 year old model) and it still fits all the nikon lenses and is great for any experience level.I do wish it has a quicker processor, but honestly you get what you pay more. It takes video a lot better than photos.I just shot my mom's wedding this past weekend.buy it for a secondary camera or for something to practice with.

I found it difficult to hold ~ bulky in my hands. There is not an auto zoom, which I was very disappointed about. I did not use the camera & returned it. I have carpal-tunnel and can not hold the camera due to its size and it felt heavy. Beautiful camera when I opened the box. Sadly, my search continues...this was not for me :(

This camera honestly doesnt take that good of pictures and the video could be a lot better.

This is my first DSLR after always shooting with small Nikon S8100 and S9100 cameras. Although it's taken a little studying to understand how to use it, I've been very pleased with the results of the photos. Crisp and clear -- and I love when I'm able to blur the background! I recently was in New Mexico and was able to take a close-up of 2 piggybacked grasshoppers. Very happy with the way it came out. As of now, I pretty much operate it only in Manual or Auto because I don't know what I'm doing in the other modes. It is big, no doubt, but all DSLRs are. The red is beautiful! I also have a zoom lens that I can interchange with it. I don't use it very often but am glad to have it when I do. I'm sure there are much better cameras out there that are also going to cost an arm and a leg. Since I'm not a professional photographer and probably never will be, this is the perfect camera for me to enjoy and have fun with.

Perfect DSLR for starters or just to get nice pictures! I ordered the red one, and I absolutely love the edge look and the shiny feeling..
