Some odd choices...
This isn't two sets of ten as another review implied. Instead there are two fire fighters of different races. Two zoo keepers, one male and one female. A grandma and a grandpa. You get the idea. Interestingly, there is a lone criminal in the bunch. He's wearing prison stripes, a black cap, and has a number across his chest. An odd choice for the "people in your neighborhood."When I split up the twenty figures so that each of my two nephews would have ten, I discovered another issue. There are only five female figures. I was careful to make things as even as possible with the various careers and ethnicities. (Not difficult since the set only includes two black figures and two vaguely South Asian figures, both male.) I solved the problem by swapping out the escaped prisoner with a female figure from another set. Lego Cool Hand Luke will now be busting rocks beside my computer.

Good variety, sturdy people
My son loves his lego people, and I love that they can go in the bath or the dishwasher. The variety of people is nice - would be great if there were more women, but at least there are a few.

People open up creative play
Our grandkids (boy 3, girl nearly 2) love this set. We talk about the different jobs and roles represented, and that leads to scenarios and role-playing. Then we use our blocks to develop different settings for the people. When we had only blocks, the kids built the same tower all the time. Now their creativity has blossomed and they build a wide variety of structures.

Duplo Sized Lego People
I ordered this product thinking it was the small Lego people. These are sized for toddlers, not older kids.

Sexist
This toy is a really great concept however I find it sexist. There are only 5 women (a doctor, a zookeeper, a lady in a jogging outfit, a senior citizen in casual clothes & women in a business casual outfit)out of MANY MANY more males who are mostly people who work (except for the senior citizen male and a jailbird which I think is very funny and why not - they're part of society too and children see them occasionally doing public service). This obviously does not represent the real world. I would have liked to see half women workers (a woman police officer, pilot etc.).

Not a lot for the money
To be honest, I was a little surprised with how expensive this was. My 2 year old son loves playing with "the people", so I am happy he has it, I just can't believe it was so expensive.

Great addition to our other lego sets
My children LOVE legos. They played with the blocks a lot; but when I gave them this set of people for Christmas, it sparked a whole new level of imaginative play. I think the people are crucial to extending the years that your children will be interested in their legos.

Great quality. However
Great quality. However, I received two identical sets of figures. It would be better to sell a smaller set with no duplicates.
