Amazing laptop! Great deal
I have owned a lot of laptops over the years. I had a 14 inch last that i really liked but the screen was too small for regular usage anymore so I really wanted to get bigger one with higher resolution. I have been looking for quite some time when I saw a 16 inch LG Gram at costco. I took down the info and went home and did some research on it. Then I found this 17 inch model with more ram and disk space so went with it. It is the lightest laptop I have ever owned by far. The screen is incredibly crisp, not 4K but can't tell the difference for this. Watching movies is amazing. Its not OLED but i have seen other IPS-based ones that are no where as good as this. It is also antiglare which I wanted as last laptop i had was glossy and drove me nuts. Incredibly fast and responsive, has instant wake feature that my Lenovo never could get working right. Great battery life, nice keyboard and trackpad. I got 4 year warranty just in case something happens but i'm definitely sold on these new LG laptops. Highly recommend this laptop, you won't be disapointed.

Reliable, user friendly, good value
I’ve had my LG laptop for several months now and I still love it! It is truly lightweight! It has an admirable battery life! It was easy to set up and has been a joy to use. My needs and computer savvy are pretty basic so haven’t challenged it with intense business or graphic work so can’t speak to those areas. It is consistently fast and I am more than satisfied.

So light, so smooth, great battery life
This is my second LG Gram 17. I bought the first for the incredibly light weight (under 3 lbs), the generous screen size, and the great battery life. It delivered on all three and continues to hold up well after over 4 years of daily use (I use a desktop beast as my primary computer, but I use the Gram every day as well, and for travel). Now that the Pro has GeForce graphics, it works as an option for my wife's primary PC, so I bought her one! The build quality is noticeably improved from my 4 yr old Gram, and I expect great things.

Pretty fast
Display isn't as nice as OLED but pretty good. Sound good. So far pretty fast. Very light. Battery last. A little large to haul around to the store with you but...to take to school or work would not be a chore. I wish McAfee had not been installed on it. Not my favorite.

Holy crap, it's light!!!
I'm super impressed with this laptop so far! Have had it for about 2 months, and it's my daily computer for half of my life since I travel for work. The weight is simply unbelievable. It's almost half the weight of my old MSI (and that was their lightest at about 5.5 lbs). The difference doesn't seem like much, but the way it feels in my backpack it seems like it's *more* than half the weight. Some of that is also the fact that the charging brick is so tiny, and that weight difference is even more extreme compared with my old laptop. The screen is great! My old computer was 1080 horizontal, and the increase in screen real estate going up to 1440 is huge. Very bright screen, and smooooooth with the 144 hz refresh rate!So far battery life is good...about what I expected from reading other reviews before buying. With general computing and video watching, will get 4-5 hrs and still not be running on empty. I'm not much of a gamer, so can't comment on juice life for that.My biggest beef is that the "2 TB drive" is split into two 1 TB drives...and for some reason I've not been able to get them merged into a single virtual drive. I may eventually clone the main drive to a larger drive and replace both of the stock drives. There's also a bit of LG bloatware but not a super big deal to uninstall.Ultimately, I would buy this laptop again in a second!

I like it...
I've had this machine for about a month. I hesitated for a long time before buying it because of the bad reviews about the machine feeling fragile and made of cheap materials. Before I placed the order on Amazon, I went to see it in person at one of the local stores... If you're looking for something to complain about, I guess the 'fragile' materials are a place to start but... how else do you build a light weight computer? You build it with thin, light materials. I don't find them at all 'fragile'. Light, thin materials aren't necessarily fragile. The materials used to make this machine are high quality. And, for me, the trade off between having to lug a 6lb ,17" laptop all across the country versus putting this in my luggage is not really a comparison or tradeoff. Beyond that, I've found it's performance as a computer as good as any other computer I've used in it's class. So, yes, I would buy it again. And, yes, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a light, full featured 17" laptop...

Light weight for a 17"
Very light laptop and I like that a lot. It's so light I've been leaving my 4 yr old13.3" laptop at home and taking this 17" laptop to coffee shops. I think it's even lighter than my 13.3". i7 processor and 1 TB hard drive. 16 gigs RAM. The screen is good, it gets very bright if you need that. However it's not OLED or 4K if that's what you want. But it works very well for office work and surfing. Keyboard is good. Would be better if it had another USB port for a total of 3. I got it on sale before Christmas. A few hundred dollars off. Was a good deal. I probably would not pay retail for it.
