Homebrewers Outpost-KEG860 Sanke Valve/Spear Removal Tool

This tool worked just like I hoped it would for removing the spear in my sanke kegs. I saw a few negative reviews mentioning the screw tightening while trying to compress the spear. A simple solution would be to remove the screw and apply some loctite and put the screw back in but not too tight to allow the spear plunger to spin freely.

Good tool...I used it for putting retention ring back on keg after filling my homebrew in keg This tool made it very easy otherwise it was very tough to put it back. Only thing is this tool is more expensive than my sanke 1/6 keg lol.. but it works fine.

The screw on the bottom of the device tightens as you torque the vice, keeping it from freely rotating. So it does not apply enough pressure to remove the retaining ring.Don’t waste you money on this.

This works adequately to insert and remove the 'spear' from certain types of beer keg. It compresses the seal on the spear to relieve pressure on the 'circlip' in order to insert or remove the circlip, thus freeing the spear.

Less than 1 minute to remove the spear. Very heavy duty construction. I don’t think I’ll ever have to order another one.

Pretty simple tool, but a specially item and a must for cleaning/inspecting same kegs. Well made and came as ordered
