Handiscoop
I bought this product because I have arthritis in my hip and can't bend down to poop scoop by hand, it does work well and I like the 3 loops so you can attach 3 bags onto it if you need them. The only downside is that construction doesn't appear that solid so I don't know how long it will last, but I still think it's a good product.

Takes all the yuck out of walking the dog
This is a brilliant bit of kit. You still have to bend a little (I'm 5'4") but you are far enough away to be able to avoid the smell of the deposit. You just use the little elastic thingie to keep the jaws closed and then you can tie the bag up without having to see or really smell the poop.I think it is small enough to take on walks but to be honest I tend not to bother but it has extensive use in my garden. It picks up on gravel, pavement and grass. It does tend to pick up a little of the gravel as well as the deposit but not enough to worry about. The jaw is very decisive and seems to fit any of the assorted bags I have accumulated. The clips to hold the bags in place are a bit of a waste of time - I have difficulty getting the darn things open - if I really needed to hold the bag in place I think I would use a small rubber band instead. I can see you can load a number of bags on and then it's ready to go but it's easy enough to carry a few in your pocket and put them on as needed.

Never miss a pickup.
I like this poo scoop because it is easy to load and prevents me from bending too much. The pic up is great and never misses! It is very sturdy but I feel too large to take out and about so I only use in my garden. The clip for holding the bag closed is a little difficult to manage hence the 4 stars.

Very handy
Works really well. I personally needed a longer handle. Can just about fit standard bags on it. But then leaves a smaller gap for pick up. There was only one bag with it. Would've been good to have pre loaded it with 3. But would definitely recommend it to anyone who finds it hard to bend.

Lasted 5 years using daily for 2 dogs.
Very handy to keep my hands away from warm poo! I have just bought my second one after using it every day for 5 years with 2 dogs. Easy to use and makes the job a little more pleasant.

You Won't Have This for Long.....
A few months ago I volunteered to walk a friend's dog while he was recovering from a serious accident. Walking a dog also involves picking up Dog Poo and as I have a particular Back Condition which means I can't bend low very well this became an issue as I had in the early days suffered a few superficial injuries trying. I needed something that would give me a bit of extra reach and be compact enough for me to take on a walk while managing my friend's dog who can't be walked 'Off Lead'.I visited our local PetsAtHome for some inspiration (It has been over 10 years since I owned a dog let alone walked one.). They only had the longer-handled version at a much more expensive price but it did allow me to 'Road Test' the scoop using some appropriately sized dog toys to simulate the size of poo I'd have to deal with. The test went well and I placed my order as well as bought a box of the Poo Bags. Normal Poo Bags aren't big enough to accommodate the wider jaws but the Handiscoop Bags are perfect and I especially liked the facility to pre-load up to 3 bags before setting off, a godsend if your wear gloves as I have to in the cold weather. All was well for about six weeks, The Item performed perfectly until one day after returning and about to clean and reload with bags I noticed a crack on the Plastic Jaw just below the hinge, only a few millimetres but I contacted their customer service and sadly as I write this am still waiting for a reply: as I walk my friend's dog every day so having a Pooper Scoop is essential, I'm never going to be one of those dog owners or walkers that leave their dog's poo lying around... Perish the thought! With the crack seeming to get a little wider every time I used it I resorted to Super Glue which worked for a time until a new crack appeared on the opposite side of the jaw in the exact same place (Design Flaw) It was time to reach for the Epoxy which was duly applied and that seemed to work, this time for a few months.Sadly three weeks ago after about six months of use, five days a week, the jaws suffered a total failure and the first claw to show signs of cracking broke off (See Photo) you will also see where the opposing jaw has needed to be repaired in exactly the same place. As I still walk my friend's dog I've had to go with a different design which I hope will prove much more robust. It is a shame because all that lets the above item down is the use of very thin and brittle plastic or skimped or shoddy manufacture. The design itself works and works well, is easy to use if you have any spinal or mobility issues and would be perfect if it was more robustly made. It would have lasted a good deal longer. £40+ per year to pick up dog poo when it's not even my dog is just a bit too much like taking the poo......

Best of a not so good bunch
I've just ordered my third scooper. When it works, it definitely does the job. And my huge greyhound does rather large jobs. However, the scoop is only lasting about 6 months. Points to note:1. Picking up a poop after heavy rainfall in unmown grass isn't pleasant but this scooper is about the best for getting most of it up. I'm not sure there's actually anything on the market that works better.2. The jaws are very strong and can pick up frozen poop from the ground with a bit of a wiggle3. One reviewer said that you need 3 hands to remove the bag whilst out with your dog. Whilst you definitely need two hands to remove the collected poop in the bag, as I said, I've got a huge greyhound and all I do it attach his lead to my belt loop (it's a carabiner lead) and that works just fine.4. The trigger mechanism has now broken on both previous scoopers hence me getting the third (reluctantly but what's the alternative?)5. So clearly I like it, but I definitely think it's overpriced for the materials used - especially when it breaks so quickly. But then again, it's manufactured in the UK and we've got very very used to low cost products coming from low wage countries.6. Production quality definitely needs to be improved. But it does the job for me for as long as it actually lasts.7. Amazon applied a 3 start rating as I gave it 4 stars for ease of use, 4 stars for weight, and 2 stars for value for money.
