The MOST beautiful and realistic moss I've ever seen!
THIS is one of the most unique products I've bought on Amazon. I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but this is the MOST beautiful, realistic moss I've ever seen. You just have to spend a little time to "unpack" it. Here's what I found worked: 1) Put on gloves. This stuff WILL spread green on your hands. 2) Work over your kitchen sink, it will scatter all over once it starts expanding. 3) It comes in a kind of layer cake. It looks small, but yields a lot. Get a spray bottle with warm water. Start spraying the outside of the cake with the water. 4) Work at the top of the cake with your fingernails (in gloves!) It will start to peel off in layers. 5) Spray each layer a little more, then pull it off. **Have a colander ready to receive the pieces you pull off- line it with a paper towel. 6) Fluff up the pieces you pull off. 7) Continue working the top layer of the cake until you have the amount you need. 7) Place the colander with the moss out in the sun to dry for an hour or so. You could also use a blow dryer if no sun is available. Note: I know some folks have commented on the smell, but I found it to smell like fresh spinach when wet. Not a big deal. The smell was gone once it dried. Is it worth this preparation? YES!!! The result looks like freshly gathered real moss, straight from the forest. It looks great at the base of artificial plants and in a terrarium. I only used about 1/4 of it and wrapped up the remainder in Glad Wrap. I appreciated the nice note that came with the moss from the owner of this small, family-owned company. Just get it! The shades of green are natural, nuanced, and look absolutely real.

Beautiful moss for projects
This craft moss exceeded my expectations in both quality and appearance. The texture is soft yet durable, and it has a rich, vibrant green color that looks incredibly natural. It added the perfect touch of realism and charm to my project.Whether used in terrariums, wreaths, fairy gardens, or general home decor, this moss holds its shape well and doesn’t shed excessively like some lower-quality options. It’s easy to work with—pliable enough to mold into place, yet sturdy enough to stay put once arranged.Visually, it’s beautiful. The moss has a slightly varied tone, which gives it a lifelike, organic look rather than appearing flat or fake. On display, it adds a warm, earthy element that really elevates the overall aesthetic of my craft setup.

You get a lot!
Don't let the packaging fool you. You get a lot of this stuff. And it's so beautiful and green. The only thing I recommend is wear gloves when touching it while wet. My fingers stained green and so did the towel I dried it on but I expected that.

This little cube makes a LARGE quantity of moss
I was thrilled with how much moss comes from this compacted cube once moistened. It will work great in arrangements that use "frog" mountings for long-stemmed flowers. The moss will then cove the frog and appear as though the flower stem is standing straight up on its own.My only concern is how much GREEN is in the moss. It is added coloring that leaches out of the moss when moistened. As the flower stems will need to be watered, the base tray will have very green liquid. If any moss hangs over onto the table, the tablecloth could easily be stained green.

Quality and quantity
I finally got around to using this moss product and I am satisfied. The quality is exactly what I was looking for with my home decor. I received two blocks that were compressed. Directions came with the product. You have to add water for it to expand and when it does, it's plentiful. It's a vibrant green color and has tiny soft velvety spiral leaves and has a slight smell of earthness and woody aroma. I am loving this product and excited to use the rest with my future potting decor items.

Beautiful, but has an odor.
While the directions warn about the dye, I didn't wear gloves like suggested and my fingers turned a light green color (that didn't wash off) from touching the moss. The moss itself comes compressed and is really pretty when reconstituted with a little spray of warm water. I put it on top of the soil in my houseplants to help hold in the moisture. However, the moss has an unpleasant odor. I'm hoping it doesn't last long because, if it does last a long time, I will have to get rid of it.

Buyers should be responsible for reading before purchasing, ha ha.
I get a kick out of some of the reviews...so UNFAIR to the seller. If you read the description you, pretty much (I am sure there are some sellers who lack some details) get what they are offering--MOSS. Condensed moss. I think it was a wonderful product, yes, it had a smell to it. Moss does have a natural smell. I can only guess that some buyers must have thought it was 'artificial' moss? Don't think I read that anywhere, I could be wrong.I would absolutely recommend this product. It was so easy to work with. You dampen it and it kind of grows like a chia pet. It was almost therapeutic to sit and pull it apart. And, the best part about this is that we used it in planters in our living room. We used it in all of our plants and our guests always marvel about our 'green thumbs'. Two thirds of our plants are artificial and I will tell you that using the moss, often, makes other think your plants are real, ha ha.Try it, it is great.

Super green
Super green all you have to do is dampen it and it swells and you’ll get a lot more out of it
