Guard Cap for use with 3" Schedule 40 PVC

Great for high efficiency furnace vents
If you have a high efficiency furnace with 3" pvc vents (exhaust and/or combustion air intake), these work great. They fit over the 3" pvc pipe, not inside a fitting, so be aware of that depending on what you're looking for. The wide mesh is adequate to keep critters out but won't freeze up in winter. I didn't secure with the provided screws, I just pushed them on, one was fairly snug, the other just barely snug. This is to be expected with minor variation in pipe size. If they fall off, I'll secure with screws. I only gave 4 stars for value as I still think they're pricey for what they are, however, I will say they are much less expensive than other similar products marketed for this purpose.

Light interference fit on od of 3" sch 40 PVC
Collar fits on od of 3" pvc pipe and sandwiches ss screen in place between end of pipe and collar. In my case there was sufficient interference fit that the screws were not needed.

Right One
If you are installing a radon gas mitigation system, this is the correct one to get for a 3 1/2 inch outside diameter pvc pipe. Easy to put on and includes two stainless steel screws to secure it.

Worked as advertiesed
It fit directly on the end of my furnace intake and exhaust. It was snug without glue, so I didn't bother gluing it.

Worthwhile!
Let your HVAC pull air in while keeping nesting birds out! I learned the hard way. :-(

Fits perfectly over 3” pvc radon exhaust
This worked perfectly for me. It was the third attempt to find a cap to keep critters out (the precious two didn’t fit). The only thing I wasn’t sure of is how to use the screws, but it fit well enough that I chose not to use them.

Simple
Requires a drill or power driver to insert two supplied retaining screws. Simple construction should not allw too much debris to accumulate and block flow.

Slips right on without any cement.
This slips right on and is super snug without any cement or tooling. Not going anywhere, and no more dead birds.
