Fast and compatible RAM kit for Ryzen systems - Samsung B-die memory chips
This memory has very tight timings running at CL14-14-14 - pretty much the best you can get - and uses premium Samsung B-die memory chips. I included a screenshot showing the timings. The use of premium Samsung B-die chips makes this kit expensive. If you have an Intel system: Yes, this RAM will work but it's expensive and you probably do not need very tight memory timings - you could use regular 3200mhz RAM and save a little money.First generation ryzen systems will strongly benefit from fast RAM because the infinity fabric linking the 2 CPU dies together runs with the same timings as the RAM (Ryzen 1700 has 2 CPU dies under the heat spreader, each one with 4 cores).I am using 2 of these kits in a Ryzen system with the following specs:- Motherboard: ASRock X370 Taichi- CPU: Ryzen 1700- RAM: 32GB. 4 sticks of 8GB 3200mhz G.Skill Flare X running at 3200mhzThis RAM is on the QVL for the ASRock X370 Taichi but only officially supported with 2 sticks running in dual channel for a maximum of 16GB (2x 8GB). I pushed my luck by installing a second kit of this RAM - 2 packs so 4 sticks in total - and it works just fine with XMP enabled at 3200mhz.It is important to note I am not overclocking my CPU. Early generation ryzen systems have issues with fast XMP RAM and overclocking. If you are overclocking you may need to dial back the RAM speed - try 2933mhz.Be sure to enable XMP if you are using fast RAM like this to get the benefits otherwise it will run at slower JEDEC speeds of 2133mhz or 2400mhz.

Great ddr4 RAM for Ryzen
This is the RAM to get for Ryzen. It is a bit pricey however compared to other Memory kits that also have Samsung B-die for cl14 timings but what is great is that this works out of the box at 3200mhz cl14 primary timings, at 1.35v voltage xmp profile. Works without any issues and im using a ryzen 5 1600 with a b350m mortar. Ryzen loves high speed and low latency memory, and this is a good combination of both.It also has some alright overclocking potential as you could overclock this to 3333mhz, 3400mhz or higher depending on silicon lottery, motherboard, ram, cpu imc, etc. That being said 3200mhz cl14 is definitely enough for gaming and other tasks, especially stable.I did however tune the sub timings to lower than xmp with Ryzen DRAM calculator to make the most of this kit, while still using 1.35v and 3200mhz ram speed on cl14. While not super necessary , it is definitely nice to see some small gains that can be gained from simply lowering latency. Also at times, this is better and easier than changing the clock speed of the RAM. I have attempted to go higher speed memory but this may defeat the purpose of buying the kit for the low latencies if you have to loosen timings, but if you can afford the time to try your luck, then you could go for it. Memtest86 i used to stress test memory but there are probably better methods.Temps , stay cool. 33c. Average airflow in an okay case. Corsair 100r with some custom 120mm exhaust fans and 140mm intake fans. Any case , temps wont be a concern unless you do above 1.4+ volts perhaps. Stay within 30-40c range I would. What is more is that this ram is "ryzen optimised" so in some cases you may have better chances on lower timings with the higher speed than other RAM on ryzen and AM4 platform, on b350 and x370 chipsets for example. 3200mhz cl14 may also save having to tweak for that on different kits. It will work on intel though. Is it worth it? Well for a ryzen 7 2700X build, definitely or any ryzen 7 build. Even some ryzen 5 builds if you don't mind the extra cost. However its only worth if you have a higher end ryzen cpu that you want to push and it is guaranteed samsung B-die which helps overclocking , lower timings, and getting good speeds. It just works.I'm also excited to see how this RAM will handle on a Zen 2 system, aka ryzen 3000 series. It will seem like a beast. At least i have the option to use this ram if i decide to upgrade to a zen 2 processor or perhaps a new motherboard with it if i felt like it.

Still going strong after 6 years
Bought them in 2016. They are still going strong in 2023, installed in another PC. Good product!

Great RAM
Brought 16gb initially in my Ryzen 2700x/Rog Strix X470 build, decided to add another 16gb to it not so long ago. Tuned it to 3200mhz in the bios without issue and adding the 2nd 2 sticks later was as simple as popping it open and slotting them in IIRC. Can't really compare vs. other DDR4 but I did my research first, these contain Samsung B-Die ICs (if this review is specific to the CL14 B-Die version of Flare X RAM) which from my research are the best ICs and play real nice with Ryzen CPU as they are specifically designed for it.

Perfect for Ryzen 2700X
Installed in a Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 WiFi motherboard with a Ryzen 7 2700X Processor and 16GB G.Skill 3200MHz DDR4 ram.My 2700X out of the box is running between 4050-4300GHz as standard. (Will NOT be overclocking)The G.Skill memory was running at 2600 with the bios settings on auto (Default).I changed the bios and specified 3200MHz memory and has worked flawlessly.I would like another 16GB but they are so expensive I am going to wait a while.I think that the other reviewer is right that they are a bit overpriced. They do work flawlessly and at there specified speed.I will be buying more.Highly recommended.

Best for Ryzen
This is the best possible DDR4 RAM you can get for Ryzen right now, runs out of the box at 2400Mhz, alls you need to do is activate the XMP profile in the BIOS (under D.O.C.P for AMD Ryzen motherboards) and it sets the speed to the advertised 3200Mhz 14-14-14-34 @1.35v.If you have the spare cash, definitely get this kit, you will get the maximum out of your Ryzen setup. It can also have an effect in games. Ryzen CPU's are sensitive to faster RAM speeds (IE higher the speed of RAM the better Ryzen performs) because of Infinity Fabric, which runs at the same speed as your system RAM.Example, Witcher 3 I checked a single scene, 105FPS with 2400Mhz RAM, 128-130FPS with 3200Mhz RAM, I checked this multiple times, with the same/similar result. This was using the 1080Ti GPU.Suffice to say, I am really pleased with this kit of RAM.For reference, my motherboard is Asus Crosshair VI Hero X370.
