Best messenger bag!
I am a Timbuk2 user for more than 30 years. I like this bag for daily runs around town when I’m on public bus or in my own car. The pockets are great for my daily essentials, the size is perfect for my daily needs, and these bags hold up for years! I got this one to replace my previous bag of 20 years and am loving all the updates to the closures, the straps and the shoulder pad!

Perfect size
My husband had this bag when he was in high school. It was well loved and well used. So I threw it away. He is a med student and needed a bag to hold all his medical equipment. He Immediately started looking for this bag and customizing the colors. I thought it was way too expensive, then we found this one. It is perfect and works amazing for what he needs it to. Would highly recommend. It is very sturdy and makes my husband very happy.

Great bag, terrible strap.
I wanted to give this bag 5 stars. I really did. I bought this to use as a purse - I love the color, I love how well it holds everything I need to carry around on a daily basis, I love that it's waterproof... but I hate the strap. :/It's been a while since I bought a Timbuk2 messenger bag, and since the last time I did, they changed how the strap attaches to the bag as well as the strap length adjuster - and it's not an improvement. The strap gets twisted so easily, and takes a bit of wrangling to get it to untwist; plus, the length adjuster sometimes loosens up when I flop my bag down, so I have to adjust the strap length every time I put the bag on. It got to the point where I took the strap off and replaced it with a clip-on strap. (It took a little work to get the clips through where the strap attaches to the bag, but I managed it.)I miss the old strap style from my bigger messenger bag. Otherwise, though? This is a good bag. And who knows, maybe the new strap will work better for others. 🤷♀️

Exactly as advertised
This bag is great. It is large, well made, and fancy! Lots of pockets for all your stuff. I am able to fit all of my textbooks and notebooks I need for an entire week of classes in the bag. The color is what was advertised.

Quality messenger bag. Not as good as previous version. Not a fan of new strap
This is a high quality messenger bag made of good materials. If you never used/owned previous versions, that should be all that matters. You will be happy with it.That said, it is not as good as the previous version though (to me), as I have issues with the features. On a base level, I feel this is still a very good bag and basically the same as the last version (which I own). The main thing is I don't like the new strap/strap tightener. There is so much extra strap flopping around. The strap keeper is not tight enough and does not do a good job. There should probably be 2 of them. When you have the bag high on your back, there is still so much extra strap. The new clasp does not feel as secure. I felt the previous version was way better. The new system just feels way more sloppy.I am fine with the new shoulder strap padding (previous version was great as well). It is removable now, which is great. It is super stiff. I assume it will break in over time. It is longer than the previous version as well. The handle on the top is padded now, which is welcome. The new Eco Cordura material they are using feels good. The TPU lining on the inside is nice. With this new version though, they didn't fix things I feel they should address. The 2 inside pockets on the ends in the main area still SUCK. They are way too small. The mesh pocket can't even fit a 32oz water bottle. What is even the point. The other pocket is so small. These 2 end pockets should be big stretchable mesh pockets, so you can organize and distribute the weight in the main compartment, to put taller heavy things on the ends. I don't know why the insist on making them so small. Ideally, they should put mesh pockets along all the sides on the inside, so you can manage the empty space better. The organization pockets on the front are so high, they don't function great. Since the bag has no structure, when you put things into these pockets, the weight pulls it down into the bag. All the videos and promo shots of the bag show the bag fully packed to the top edge (or the bag on its back), which give the pockets structure so they function properly. But you don't have your bag fully packed out like that all the time.I feel there is such a missed opportunity to have better organization/pockets on the outside and the insides, where the weight that these pockets hold is properly distributed. It is a floppy bag, so all this matters. Also, the way the top handle is situated. It pulls on the top flap/lid. If you don't have it tied down, it doesn't work correctly. I don't know how to address this really, since the bag has no structure, I don't know where else to anchor the handle. This is a nice to have, I wish the bottom had a little padding, to cushion it when you put it down. Along the back side of the bag would be nice too.Anyways, I hope timbuk2 reads this. This is a really good bag, it has such good materials and construction. Just the design feels so behind the times to me. Most of my complaints stem from owning timbuk2 bags for so long. Even with my complaints, this is still a great bag I would choose over other brands .

Great bag!
According to my son, he can’t live without this bag. He wore out his first, and hinted he’d like a new one for his birthday. He’s a teacher who walks to his school and always carries books, papers, and his lunch. He thinks these bags are a necessity, but he also thinks they look great.

worth every penny
Gargantuan bag, pretty much a bag of holding. Exceedingly comfortable thanks to the ortholite strap and all the strap adjustment possibilities. They've thought a lot about the practical uses of this bag. Will definitely buy more Timbuk2 stuff.
