Last year, I threw my back out while installing a ceiling fan, which led to a condition called Piriformis syndrome. Basically, sitting in a regular position causes my hip and leg to ache and go numb. I’ve spent a lot of time in the living room either sitting on an exercise ball or surrounded by pillows to keep my lumbar and legs positioned just right to prevent flare-ups. Recently, I purchased an adjustable bed frame that allows me to sit upright without aggravating my back or leg. That experience made me think, if I could find a chair that mimicked the bed frame, maybe I could finally sit comfortably in the living room with my family. After a lot of research, I decided to purchase this chair. It arrived in three boxes. Two were light, but the largest, about 60 pounds, was fairly heavy, so I recommend having someone help bring them inside.Assembly was pretty straightforward. The headrest connects to the base, the arms click into place, and then you connect two plug sets and plug it in. One tricky part was attaching the back and headrest to the base, they slide in and need to engage simultaneously on both sides. If only one side clicks in, it's very difficult to remove. It uses a small pull tab to release the bracket, but it's hard to access and requires a fair amount of pressure. It helps to have a person on each side to ensure that the chair brackets are clicking in at the same time.I've been using the chair for about three days now, and I’m genuinely happy with it. I needed a chair that could raise my legs higher than a typical recliner to relieve pressure from my sciatic nerve and spine, and this one does exactly that. The headrest is independently adjustable and cradles my shoulders, helping me sit upright with good alignment which takes the pressure off my lower back. I was especially concerned about lumbar support since many recliners create a gap in the lower back while reclining, causing the spine to bow. This chair has a firm cushioning in the lower back area that keeps my spine supported whether I'm sitting upright or reclining. This isn’t an ultra plush chair, it's a bit on the firm side, but I didn't want a plush chair. Overly soft chairs tend to create uneven pressure points, which can cause pain over time. Also, the fabric and color are both very nice, the electronics function smoothly, and even with two dogs, it cleans up well.For reference, I’m 5'2" and my husband is 5'8", and the chair fits us both well. I don’t think it would be ideal for someone over 6 feet tall, as it is on the smaller side. Since using this chair, my back and leg pain have significantly decreased. I still try not to sit for extremely long periods, but I’ve been able to enjoy a few movies without any discomfort, which hasn’t happened in a long time. My mother, who also has chronic back and neck issues, finds it extremely comfortable too. I’m really happy with this purchase and highly recommend this chair for anyone dealing with Piriformis syndrome or other sciatic nerve issues.

I ordered 2 of these reclinersand unfortunately am in the process of returning one because it wouldnt fit in the family room. Thank you to the seller for approving my request so promptly. My grandson put the chair together, instructions were great and i love the chair. It is solid the motor works quietly and its very comfortable, especially the lumbar pillow. 5 stars, very pleased!

Love that it's a true wall hugger and it looks great. However the reclining part of the chair is about a foot too short. It would probably be ok if you're 5'6" or less but if you're a 6' tall man or a 5'10" woman, your legs will be dangling from the calves down. It's still comfortable though.

I only received yesterday. So far, so good. To start, I’m a 70-year old woman just under 5’4” tall and weigh about 180 pounds. Size-wise, the chair is a great fit with decent lumbar and shoulder support. I can adjust it to a range of positions for reading, watching tv or napping. The leather seems nice and not too thin. The chair seems sturdy and not so pillowy that it’s hard to get out of.It arrived in 3 boxes. I did struggle a little to move them from the driveway so I had help from my son-in-law. Assembly was not difficult. I could have done it by myself but, since my son-in-law was already here, I was glad to have his help positioning the components.He’s 6’6” and probably 300+ pounds. He found the chair comfortable and roomy in the sitting position. It would be too short for him when reclined.So, I’m not sure how well it will hold up but I’m pleased so far.

I was a little unsure about buying a recliner from Amazon, but it really exceeded my expectations. My partner ended up sleeping in it for weeks after shoulder surgery, and it held up great, the material still looks brand new. It’s serving its purpose without giving off that typical “old man chair” vibe.

This chair was the answer. Needed a small wall hugger recliner. The plus is its so comfortable! I mean it really feels good. It was worth the money. Easy assembly.

Got three of these for our new home. They look great, work quietly, and are very comfortable for an average size woman and a heavier guy. The fact that the legs and head rests are able to be adjusted /reclined separately. This means that they’re very adaptable to people with various needs and heights. As recliners go, they’re streamlined and not bulky.The USB dual ports (regular size and C size)are very handy, especially for folks who need overnight charging.We are having some floor plugs installed, as they sit in the middle of a very large room, and we didn’t want to permanently depend on extension cords. The cords on the chairs are long, and would do fine if these were placed against a wall.They’re nice, heavy chairs, so no worry about them possibly tipping. They also have inner and outer legs, to support the main body of the chair and then the interior workings.They were easy to assemble, but two people are probably needed for the job. The directions are EXCELLENT, which is often not the case with shipped items.The shipping was as advertised and even tho some boxes were damaged, (they went from NY to WA State) the chairs were not.We highly recommend this seller and these adjustable reclining chairs!
