Best Version of Sabaac
The Good: I have tried multiple versions of this game which is based on the Sabaac concept from Star Wars. This one is the best. Easy to pick up and fun for adults and preteens. The Bad: The rewards. They are cardboard. Wish they had been plastic. Metallic gold ideally but at least plastic would’ve gave it a greater sense of value. The cards are a bit flimsy. The Ugly: Those oh so sweet moments when you get a match on the last roll forcing everyone to randomize and show their cards with a complete mess! It’s awesome. The Summary: Genuinely the best version of Sabaac I have played. The one from Galaxies Edge is much too complex, more difficult to read and comes with less accessories and cheaper die. Oh and it costs about 2 to 3 times as much. This version “Han Solo Card Game” is a better buy!

"This is where the fun begins"
This game is SO fun!!!! They have slightly different rules for this version of the game than the actual Canon version in the movie. However, it is INCREDIBLY easy to adapt what they have in this version to reflect what they have in the film. If you are looking for an idea for a cheap, easy, and fun way to have a monthly Star Wars themed game night with some friends. Get yourself this game, toss on a han solo costume, pour some blue milk and have an awesome time!

Was well liked by the gift recipient!
This was a gift to a very serious Star Wars fan and I present his official review:“Game is a must have for serious Star Wars fans and collectors! Fun game with simple rules yet complexity enough to ensure strategies emerge during gameplay. While not the original 72 card, 4 suit Sabacc some purists might prefer, this ‘Corellian Spike’ version IS canon, in both current and the expanded Legends universes, and well with your investment!Special Note for Cloud City Administrators: cards are easy to conceal up your sleeve.”

Finally Sabacc!!!
We've all waited years to play this game! Finally it's here.Totally worth it!This game is a blast! It's not as complicated as most versions of the game, but play it however you want. We played to +/-23 instead of 0 and that really is a challenge. We added poker chips. The three possible shifts makes it pointless to bet until the third round. The credit bars are unrealistic values, we treat them more like a lotto putting in one random bar in the pot per player. When all the bars are won the game is through. The weird shaped cards take some getting used to shuffling. This is now our goto game whenever we hang out.

This is a very satisfying and fun Sabacc variant
According to "Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide" there are more than 80 variants of Sabacc, one of which is Corellian Spike, and this is a simplified version of that variant. It is a really wonderful and very fun game. It's easy to learn, fast moving and captures the essence of Corellian Spike. I find the shape and thickness of the cards much easier to shuffle than conventional card decks, so it's very pleasant in that regard. If you are looking for the authentic cards and the authentic game, this might be a disappointment and you might have to look elsewhere, such as on therpf.com. Nevertheless, as a Sabacc variant, this game stands on its own and is very satisfying and a lot of fun to play.

Cool, quick and simple game to kill a little time with
Pretty fun game, played a couple rounds of it at a family get-together today. We were not sure about a couple rules (can you take the millennium falcon from someone if no one has it yet? What if it happens at the same round? But we quickly established our rule and it was all good.Quick game, probably 10-15 minutes a game once we get a hold of it.I think if we have more than 4 players, we can simply dish out 4 awards per round so some players will end up with no awards, so we still get to go 6 rounds and that would be just fine.

Fun but has a lot of kinks that need to be worked out.
Fun but has a lot of kinks that need to be worked out. The given rules are simple but does not account for some possible encounters. It states positive beats negative of same value. But it does not state if lower negative beats higher positive. When playing I assume closer to 0 wins.Another encounter is 2 players getting to 0 with same amount of cards. Based on positive beating negative we figured the player who got to 0 with the highest positive card would win.Another encounter is flipping the first card for discard pile and it being the idiot card. Everybody would take it. And now everyone knows the person left of the dealer has one. So it’s not completely fair.Another issue is the movie version had different suits. Hence Han saying “straight staves”. This game does not have any suits. Which brings to the next issues. The rounds end too quick. The point is taking risks by getting to 0 with more cards. If there are only 3 turns the game ends too quick to really do that. If you manage to get to 0 in 1 turn with two cards the risk of taking another card with only one more turn to balance it is insane. Also there is not enough cards in the deck. They played with 8 people in the movie. This barely has enough for 3-4.Finally the whole pot system is broken. In the movie they bet each turn. In this there is a “pot” with tokens that have various worth. They are randomly drawn and placed face up. Winner gets to pick which he wants. Rest is split up based on better hands. However one chip is worth 25,000 while others are 1,500 or maybe 7,500. So if someone gets the 25,000 chip in the first round there is a chance to not even bother playing the next 2 rounds of the game since you might not draw tiles to beat him.Like I said. There are kinks and rules need to be hashed out and some parts reworked. This is where house rules would come into effect. I need to come up with a new system.

Great family game
So the reviewers here seem to fall into two categories—big fans who want an exact sabaac game and casual fans who are looking for a fun Star Wars themed card game. We’re the latter. Got it for my 8 year old. The night it arrived we played with a 60 year old friend who had never even seen the movies or knew what the millennium falcon is. But we all had a great time playing. I don’t know or care if these are official Sabaac rules. My son liked it snd felt like he was Han Solo (or Lando). That’s enough for me.
