Nice - while it lasted
Purchased 10 months ago, we noticed 2 weeks ago the plastic cracking (as per foto) and today the kettle stopped working altogether. Lights up on the base but not heating up the water. Disappointed as it was a nice concept. Let's see what Amazon do now regarding the guarantee...

Fast, quiet, easy to use
I needed a new tea kettle, replacing a Riviera & Bar I bought in France about ten years ago. I'm a tea snob, so I need multiple temperatures. I tried the Sage - Heston Blumenthal kettle that's a few pounds less than this one, but its plastic stinks. I realized that I need a glass (or stainless steel) kettle. One thing about those that aren't glass is they still have a plastic "window" so you can see how much water you've put in the kettle, and I didn't want that.So I took a chance on this one, in spite of the fact that there are no reviews. It works fine, it's quiet and fast, and it's nearly all glass. (There's a ring of LEDs around the bottom inside of the kettle, that seems to be covered with silicone). The only downside is that it doesn't show the temperature of the water, which is useful if my partner has boiled water at 100 degrees, and I want 70. With the Riviera & Bar I had, I could see the current temperature, and know if I needed to add cold water. As for those LEDs, I've seen that a lot of tea kettles have them, and that they are blue, apparently to make watching a pot boil more interesting. On mine, they don't light up at all. I guess something is broken, and I'll see after a while if I should ask for a replacement. But for now, it works fine, and it's easy to use.UPDATE: I've had this for eleven months, and the lower temperatures - 70 and 80 - are no longer working correctly. They often just boil the water, which is not what I want for some types of tea. I've contacted the manufacturer, as it is still under warranty.

890 days of use
Lasted from May 2016 until October 2018, with approximately three uses a day for 890 days, that’s 2670 times the kettle died. It was always a bit noisy but quick to boil, some of the buttons were not aligned with the contact and LED installed below its location but overall a good kettle.
