First off, if you love the book, buy these before they sell out. These cards are gorgeous and, who knows, they may help you out along the way too. ;)

These are lovely cards. They feel very slick, high quality and slide well. I will be using the heck out of them in the coming years, I am sure.The designs for these cards really stand out. They are very unique in terms of playing cards. Very steampunk, sci-fi kind of designs that are not something you would ordinarily see on playing cards.One point on the designs of the Jack-Queen-King cards is that the image is split in the middle by a line and the image is simply copied upside-down - see the image. This is different from normal cards where the upside-down part melds with the right-side up part. Not sure why they didn't go the extra mile on that point of the design, especially for this kind of cost. Speaking of cost, I do not understand how these cards match the value of the price of this product. They are high-quality, they are nice, they are unique. However, they are not unique enough that I would think they justify the cost.If you are into steampunk and you like playing card games, then this is surely the right deck for you. It is fun to see a different design style on a pack of playing cards. It makes for good conversation starters too.

I'll start by mentioning the striking art on these cards. You have the typical four suits and two Jokers. The art for each is distinct enough you can typically differentiate the suit without seeing the symbol, though it is present. Even the non-face cards had a lot of thought put into the layout and design. Any sci-fi, steampunk, clockwork, or Return to Oz fan will find it very appealing.Next, I'll talk about the texture. These cards feel amazing in hand and have quite the hefty feel to them. You can feel the distinct texture of the stock used for printing, almost as if the texture was embossed onto the cards. This doesn't detract from the ability to shuffle or slide the card though. Typically when you buy a new deck of cards, the first few shuffles are almost "against the grain", but not these. They come out of the box with a buttery smooth movement.The packaging for the cards is also quite well done, and these a highly giftable if someone collects cards or the aforementioned art styles.

QUICK LOOK: We game constantly in this household. Tabletop, cards, miniatures, you name it we game it. So these cards immediately stand out due to the incredibly unique art style and the bold message of quality.I'm happy to report these cards DO NOT disappoint. The art on the cards themselves is incredibly well done with an excellent theme and the quality of the cards themselves stands WELL ABOVE your standard deck of cards (and it should for the price point).They are an EXPENSIVE deck, but if you're serious about playing cards and want to have a standout deck, give these a serious consideration. This deck is going to last a long long time.THE GOOD STUFF:- Amazing artwork- EXCELLENT quality cards with a nice hand feel- Great packagingTHE NOT SO GOOD STUFF:- They are indeed expensive - BUT they are going to last you a very long time and the quality stands well above other playing cards.

Don’t let my title fool you, I am a big fan of this card deck. It feels extremely smooth coming out of the deck box. They look nice, the artwork is insane, the cards feel great, the shuffling is so smooth, and there’s so many different designs on the cards, it’s fun to just sit and look through them.
