This potting soil works well, but the 2 quart bags are quite small for the price and I didn't see anything unique or magical in the way it works. In fact, I would probably add a bit more per-lite for better drainage if I were creating my own soil mix. Otherwise, the pH and nutrient content seem to be average and correct for most plants. Of course you can always add additional as needed to boost requirements, but a good base soil should negate this need in my opinion. Overall I'm pleased, but would like to see larger bags and better drainage.

Using for some indoor romaine and everything seems to be happy... Bit pricy for what you're getting but I think in this case you're paying for not having to run to the local hardware store to grab some vegetable soil. Nice healthy lettuce so they're doing something right!

WHEN I SAW THIS PRODUCT . I WAS LIKE ALRIGHT ITS ORGANIC AND ITS A NICE PRICE. I RECIEVED THE ITEM LO AND BEHOLD, IT WAS A SMALL BAG OF ORGANIC SOIL FOR SEVEN OF MY DOLLARS. NOT WORTH THE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I PAID FOR IT.

I'm not a plant expert, but I do believe this Doter brand is good soil. My plants seem to like it!

I ordered 2 quarts of this organic vegetable soil mix to grow herbs in pots indoors. The soil is rich and loamy, and my herbs are thriving. When the soil arrived, I noticed no odd smells, and I saw no signs of fungus or gnats. I’m happy with this soil, and I would order more if it weren’t so pricey.

I was disappointed in this and for that, I take some responsibility. Not having an idea of what 2 quarts of soil might look like, I ordered it. It arrived in a clear plastic bag that I could lay on top of an 8.5x11" piece of paper with it fitting inside the border of the page easily. It was enough for a small desktop planter. I can't speak to the quality of the dirt because it looks like any other dirt. I added it to the top of my tomato plants because there wasn't enough to use on its own. I could have bought a bag 4x the size of this at any garden center for the price this is listed at (currently just under $10).
