A little smaller & lighter than a Dyson handheld vacuum
The media could not be loaded. When I buy electronics or household things online and do not know the brand, I am always hesitant about purchasing them because it's hard to know whether or not the item is going to be good. I own a Dyson motorhead vacuum and I figured I would compare them because they are pretty similar in size. Now keep in mind, I personally think that nothing can outperform a Dyson, but if you are looking to save a little money and just need something on hand for little things here and there, I believe this vacuum will be sufficient enough. As you can see in the photos, the vacuum does run a little bit shorter than the Dyson and the canisters that holds the debris is pretty similar in size. I would say that the SilverOnyx is a little bit lighter when handling and it is pretty easy to just whip out and use. I am currently unsure of the battery life because I haven't used it long enough to see the difference. The Dyson battery charger does cut out the charge when the battery is fully charged so as to not overcharge it. I don't think that this one has the ability to do so. You can watch the video to see the product similarities and differences fully to decide if this is right for you or not.

Conflicted
Bought on 5/11/18. I used it maybe once a month or so. Mid July of 2024 the battery gave out and it no longer works. It did last awhile so I'm conflicted on whether it seems it lasted long enough per use. Probably used around 75 times. Maybe less. If it were used every week I would understand the battery wearing out.

Died in less than 6 months
UPDATE: Well...I've had it for a few months now and it died today. :( I was super bummed as I just got all new flooring throughout my house and was happy I had this! I have only used it 6 times since I bought it. It won't even run and I fully re-charged it for 24 hours. The battery was getting low and the light was blinking so it was time to recharge it. That was the last time it worked. It's passed the return window so I am stuck with a broken product that I haven't even had for 6 months and is now heading to the dump. So very sad.Original review:Ok... that was cheesy, but I’m just tickled. This is exactly what I was looking for. I dog sit peoples pups and end up with dog hair all over my wood floors. This is a lightweight and easy way to clean up tile or wood floors. Definitely not recommended for carpet, it doesn’t work for that at all, but if you have wood or tile floors this is lightweight and I love that it’s cordless. Lots of power and holds a charge very long time I haven’t even had to charge it yet. I can’t believe I didn’t buy this sooner. I think it’s really nice it it comes apart too so you can use it as a hand vac for the carpets in your car or for your couch. For the carpets in the car, the handheld portion has changeable brush heads so that will work on carpet if you’re using it as a handheld vacuum.

Works very well, accurately described... and more!
We live in an apartment building, so I purchased this vacuum just before Christmas specifically to clean up the fallen needles from the live tree left all over the hallway and elevator, but also to constantly clean up the mess left over by the kids, foot traffic and strollers in the house. Last year I had to borrow my neighbor's stick vacuum (a Dyson, and wasn't too impressed), but still decided it was time to consider getting something comparable because of the ease of use. I wanted something light, cordless, convenient and under $100 since, in my experience, at least all the cordless vacuums I've owned, have have died withing a year or 2, so there was not point in spending more.I admit I was a bit skeptical since I'd never heard of this company before, but after extensive views, price comparisons, and reading all the reviews of this and numerous other products (not just on Amazon), I decided to give it a shot. It's been a month, and I could't be happier. I use it every day on the wood floors, and it does very good job with regular crumbs, pine needles, dust bunnies, and dirt, Heavier stuff like beads and need to be pick up, but if they are consumed, tend to drop out of the vacuum. This is nothing unexpected since this is common even of corded vacuums. The carpet was where I had my real doubts since even my corded behemoth of a Bessel vacuum can't hold it all.To my surprise, this light weight vacuum proved me wrong!. Not only did it pick up pretty much everything on the area rug , but also on the wall to wall shaggy carpet and the Berber. I was really amazed at how much linty fuzzy stuff the vortex suction actually does pick up - for a cordless! One last thing I want to mention: My apartment is 1600 sq. feet it and can easily one charge is certainly enough to cover the whole place; even on high power. With my past cordless vacuums, I've found that leaving them constantly plugged in kills them faster. I just charge this one for a few hours and every two or three days and I'm good. But that may vary for those who use it more.Over all, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an extremely light weight stick vacuum.Hope this helps with your decision!

High performance. Great battery life.
So far this is a great vacuum. I’ll let you know after I’ve had it a few weeks but initial impression is wonderful. Outstanding battery life- I charged it overnight first time before using as recommended and I still haven’t run out of battery! I’ve used it 4 times this week for quick touch ups on hardwood floor and throw rugs. Perfect performance. Still full power- unreal compared to my old Bissell stick vac. Emptying dust bin super easy just release tab and it dumps. Again huge improvement over my Bissell. Really quiet operation- my cat didn’t even leave the room. Right now I very highly recommend this vacuum. Had never heard of the company so I took a chance on a good price and strong reviews. So far I’m thrilled. I only use for touch ups during the week and use corded Shark for regular cleaning but if you’re looking for a quiet powerful high performing cordless stick vac for touch ups and quick cleans I’d go with this one!
