Ordered from IKEA, Still Haven't Received Working Product After 3 Weeks past Expected Delivery
My roommate received this product for our new apartment 3 weeks ago. The entertainment stand shipped with some other products from IKEA that worked fine. However, this item had a defective piece, and so we could not put it together. We thought it would be simple: call IKEA, IKEA comes, picks up the defective piece, and gives us a working replacement. Over 10 phone calls and more than 5 hours on hold later and we still don't know when we will get a replacement. IKEA's customer service is atrocious. The only way that we could finally get through to a representative after 4 days was to pretend we were a customer looking to buy a product. After first contact, they said they would give us a $50 gift card and call us when they will pick up the piece. Another week and a half with no call. We called yesterday to check, and they still didn't give us a definite date for our replacement. We now have everything else in our apartment settled, but there is a broken TV center with a bunch of IKEA boxes sitting in the middle of our apartment indefinitely. Please, IKEA, we just want the product that we paid for.
