Put them on my kayak for night finishing there bright and hold up well underwater have not had any issues yet I recommend them

I just put them on a pontoon boat I had to order 3pin waterproof connector extension cords the controll box only has 3 inch pig tails. which is not sufficient to put a strip on each side of the boat. That wouldnt be a big deal but, the connectors on this product arent an exact fit (different thread patterns The pin pattern is correct tho) for a standard 3 pin connector. I got them to hold together as best i could and splice taped the connectors together so they wont move and disconnect. I hope this holds up, if not I'll need to cut off the connectors and hard wire them with water proof but splice connectors. For now I'll gove 4 stars because they look awesome and are extremely easy to controll with the app to get any color or pattern. If I have to cut the ends off and splice them I'm gonna drop it to 3 stars because they should have been standard connectors or they should offer extentions with the exact threads to hold them together. if they did offer extention cords I would have given them 5 stars. I reiterate they look fantastic!!!

The media could not be loaded. These Lichaser Boat LED Light Strips are very bright and vivid light strips designed to be attached to a boat, or (I would say) for any outdoor lighting scenario. I personally got them to use on our pool lanai, since they are waterproof and suitable for any location where they could get wet. The system consists of a pair of roughly 16.5 - foot strips encased in a flexible and waterproof channel, with both ends sealed against water infiltration. They aren't designed for underwater installation, but rather for areas where they could get wet by splashing, weather, etc. The two strips are connected to a small controller via waterproof 3-conductor connections which push together and then lock by means of tightening a plastic locking nut.The LED strips are arranged such that the controller is between the center of the two strips, while the strips themselves light up as mirror images of each other. That is, when set to a solid color, both strips share that same color, or when set to dynamic modes, the animation of one strip mirrors the other. This is great for a nice symmetrical effect when (for example) the controller is at the bow of a boat with the strips following the contour of the port and starboard sides of the boat. Or if (for another example) the strips are attached to a home, the controller can be at the peak of where two roofs meet (or any corner), with the two strips following the contour of the adjacent roof edges. There's a lot of areas where these lights can really enhance and add pizazz to outdoor (or interior) settings.The light strips have peel-to-stick adhesive strips attached to the back side of the flexible channel, plus the kit includes clips that can be attached to various surfaces with a single screw each for a more secure and permanent installation. The system is powered by 12 volts, and comes with a "lighter socket" plug for easy connection to a vehicle's 12-volt electrical system. According to the label on the controller the system can draw up to 144 watts, so if using the lighter socket make sure that it can provide at least 15 amps of current (144watts at 12 volts draws 12 amps, which is 80% of 15). It can also be hardwired directly to a 12 volt car/boat battery (through a 15A fuse for safety), or to a 12V AC powered power supply (again, providing at least 15A).The set comes with a remote control for selecting the color(s) of the light strips, setting up the desired dynamic sequence, controlling the speed of animation, selecting sound responsive mode which modifies the light strip's sequence based on ambient music or sounds, and other functions. But for maximum control, it's best to download the app to a smart phone or tablet. This allows choosing from a much wider range of effects, creating your own programs, adjusting the overall brightness of the lights, and much more.In the brief video clip I attached to this review, I am only cycling through various sequences available from the remote, the app not only has more options, but has little animated graphics showing what each preset looks like. The app is definitely the way to go for maximum control!

The media could not be loaded. Ive had two sets of these lights. The first set stopped working in a few days. I reached out to the seller and just like they said they would, they replaced them. I got the second set and installed them and a week later they also stopped working. The customer service I received was great but the quality of these lights is no good. About a quarter of the strips light but the rest will not work. This happened with both sets in the same spot.

I just started putting these on my pontoon boat, I say started because the strips 16.4 feet, but my pontoon is 22 feet. When I bought these my thinking was I could splice segments together and run the whole length of the boat, but these strips are wider than the standard strip connector. All I can find are 3 pin -10 mm connectors (apparently that is the standard width) but, these strips are 12 mm wide which is not standard for 3 pin LED strips. You cannot get the connectors to clip shut and remain waterproof also, the pins are just a bit offset from the contact points on the strip so, they don't contact all 3 pins. Another issue is the pig tail on the controller is too short. I want to run a strip on both sides of each pontoon so when we swim under the boat it will light up the water, (that way we can see the gators) but the length of the wire connector is not long enough to span across for both connections. These obstacles have made the install more challenging than needed. I am now going to have to solder all my splices (hopefully I can embed them in silicone to make them waterproof) and rig some wiring with waterproof connectors to get to each side of the pontoons. I gave 3 stars because I believe when I get finished, they look great.

These lights are nice. I like that it's 2 strips of lights, which makes it nice and easy to use these around the campsite on my travel trailer. Handy to have a remote, change color and pattern. And awesome that they're waterproof!
