Its comparatively more silent (zero load). Very smooth and minimum vibration. While cutting the sound is bearable (compared to big plunger router) making it ideal for small jobs. Cutting teak wood like butter ( at small feed and depth of cut). It comes with small straight bit ( 6mm). This model doesn't provide extra 6.35 collet but I ordered for one on amazon. Chord length would have increased a bit ( not an issue). Its very handy ( ergonomic wise). Can be operated with one hand with caution ( I don't recommend but possible after gaining experience). The acrylic base is clear and stronger compared to cheaper brands.

The straight router bit was NOT INCLUDED.It's there in the product listing, and on makita.in website, but it was not there in the box.The tool itself is great and handy.EDIT: 6 mm bits are hard to come by and are expensive. Added to that, most of the listings for bits on Amazon.in are mislabled, it is never clear if they are 1/4" or 6 mm.EDIT 2: The lack of a fine (height) adjustment knob is very inconvenient for most tasks. A newer model (3709) possibly has it.

I was hazy about product quality when saw the box as it doesn't look like original but the product itself is genuine and good quality. Had to order 6.35mm collet to use available bits. As using for DIY so well satisfied with it and received all accessories including original makita straight bit as displayed. Amazon delivery was awful as without actually delivering this product along with others my app showed it delivered.

The router bits do not fit in the routerThe shank suggested by Makita is 6 mm and the bits provided are 6.5 mm.I purchased the router separately and bits separately because it was cheaper that way then.Seriously even after paying money you don't get the product to funtion the way it should.And still the listing exists on Amazon.Do not know how or on what basis they are providing those bits. And the bits cannot be reduced in shank size it requires more instrumentation.

Nice product. Timely delivery. Packaging was also good. Only thing is in the item list 1 router bit also comes along with machine. In the picture it is displayed. Green package.However it was missing when I received the package. Without router bit machine is useless. And it is very hard to find 6 mm router bit.

Very handy and powerful.. a small bit was provided.. all accessories were there.. 2 spanners, guides, chips deflector, etc. but there was no extra carbon brush. The packet was old and the machine was not wrapped in bubble wrapper hence it was making rattling sound. I was a victim of such packing.. the first router I ordered arrived in a damaged condition which I had to return. It is a single speed router and made in China product but a good one. Good for small job specially for DIY jobs.
