I am currently using this audio interface with current versions of Ubuntu Linux and FreeBSD without any problems.

It has phantom Power at 48V. You can engage it insets of two inputs (1 and 2 and/or 3 and 4).

Yes, and no. You can output 24 bit quality, but only if the source is 24 bit. If the source is garbage this interface will not make it sound better.
