Excellent machine and good bang for buck
Great machine and very powerful. I was upgrading from a laptop about 5-6 years old which is like the Dark Ages :). Love the extra cooling fans and all-in, it’s a great laptop. I almost want to deduct 1 Star, but won’t, for me having to figure out why it lost internet connection every night at the same time (8:32 in my case). But after some sleuthing, I found the solution which is to go to Device Manager, Network Adapter, Power Management for both the Wireless and Ethernet and make sure you uncheck the box that allows the computer to “turn off the device to save power”. No—I don’t want the internet turned off :). Mild little annoyance but I found its common setting on a lot of machines including the MSI.As for the PC itself, my version is the GT 63 Titan, 8750-6 cores, GTX 1070 with 16GB RAM and 1 TB HDD with a smaller (256?) SSD. I thought about the 1080 graphics card but that pushed the budget up and rather than cut down to 4 core chip, my trade off was the 1070 video with 6 core. For my purposes, that is fine. The 1070 is an excellent card. I went around and around on various options (what type of MSI, what type video card, how much RAM) and this was the best combo for my needs at about $2,000.

A Beast.
Very powerful machine, capable of handling all that's thrown at it. The MacBook Pro was barely able to push 30 frames per second in World of Warcraft on level 3. This machine is MAINTAINING 100 FPS in graphics mode 7, and holds minimum of 60 in max. The screen is excellent.I'll say that they definitely put an excellent easter egg joke in this laptop - the battery. If you're gaming, you'll have about 30 minutes to an hour before it dies. If you're doing light web work, you'll get about two hours. If you're looking for power and speed, this is the right machine. It's portable enough to carry with me on trips despite having a large power adapter and being slightly bulkier than most laptops. If you're looking for pretty while sacrificing performance, go with apple. If you're looking for a product that performs as advertised - go with this thing.I'd recommend upgrading the ram after you get it. 16 gigs is a bit slow. Also, 1TB SSDs are being sold at excellent prices on Amazon - Drop the 1TB Disk Drive out of this and replace it with an SSD, you'll thank me later!

Pretty Sweet.
This thing is unbelievably quiet even while on a full load. It can handle what ever you throw at it. My only dis like, is I didn't pop for ssd's. I thought the 2 hdd's 500gb would be ok. Man do I miss my ssd's. Loading times are not that bad. But, if your used to an ssd, then you will notice it too. Will be swapping those out soon.
