Good antenna
Definitely happy with purchase. Better antenna for my scanner than the one it originally comes with.

Outstanding antenna
I have owned a Uniden Bearcat125AT for many years and have always suffered from poor reception. Not only did this antenna solve that problem, it increased the range. I am an aviator, and so I like listening to the aircraft as they fly overhead. This antenna has not only increased my range to more than 200 miles; in some cases, such as Boston ARTCC, I can hear both sides of the conversation. Excellent value for money.

Good dual band HT antenna - better than the stock manufacturer-supplied antenna
This dual band HT antenna seems to work much better than the stock dual band antenna that came with my HT. I can hit repeaters with this Diamond HT antenna that I can't hit (or I can receive them better) than then stock antenna. This antenna has gain on both bands plus has air-band (118~125 MHz) and other higher band coverage.

Definitely helps

5 star great for 70cm, fair for 2 meter band
If your primary use is for the 70cm band on a handheld, this is your antenna = 5 stars. 2 meter is fair. Many dual band antennas have this trade off. It is usually the limitation of engineering design for an antenna of this length. It is fairly robust build quality and minor shocks to antenna shouldn’t bother it.

Good but too much slop and movement
The media could not be loaded. The BNC connector on this unit is really well made, and I've had decent SWR for a portable VHF/UHF antenna. The problem that makes me look to other solutions is that there's a lot of slop in the built n BNC/Antenna connection. It doesn't affect the unit's operation, but it's really annoying having it move around while trying to operate my radios. I ended up using the Diamond BNC connector and an accompanying (third party) BNC->SMA connector. Less that ideal for SWA but a much better fit with no slop or movement. If this antenna could be tightened up, it would be my fave.
