This kitty is huggable and soft. It is well-constructed so that even the weight of it feels realistic. The meow, purring, and heartbeat sounds are very good. Being able to give the new "pet" a name that it responds to was a nice touch. Most important, its appearance and feel are so reminiscent of the beloved pet we just lost, that the grieving period has been reduced significantly. It is a well-thought out design, but if future iterations could also include a mouth that moves and eyelids that can be opened and closed, it would be perfect!

OMG this kitty looks and sounds like a kitty my mom loved years ago! She is the perfect companion ‘kitty’ for her. She needed someone to keep her company and now she has this, and it does not need a litter pan. LOL. The kitty works as advertised, sound, purring and heartbeat. We both love this kitty and best of all we could rename it with her beloved kitties name! Would recommend this to anyone i. need of a companion!

This cat is fantastic! Cuddly and charming, exactly as I hoped for! I recently saw a different robot cat and it had some movement but felt like cloth over an armature-not cuddly at all. Awesome product! The cat learned its name easily, too.

I bought this for myself as “fur therapy”. :-) Not a “real” cat, but very soft (it even sheds a little-haha), and the purring and meowing are great. I wish the recorded purring would go on a little longer, but it’s nice. The weight is great and adds to the idea of something other than just another stuffed animal in your lap. Overall it’s a very nice product, and I love that you can rename it, and adjust the volume. I leave the opening on the bottom open with the battery controls visible and flush with the cat’s belly to make it easier to turn on and off. I’d love to see them make an orange tabby cat version. :-)

It's a lovely cat. It looks true to life. The function buttons are great—you can adjust the volume of the purring and meowing. My mother loved it and carries it around with her at the nursing home. My only negative is that it sheds, just like a real cat, which I wasn't expecting.

The media could not be loaded. We had some difficulty with our first cat. It stopped staying on more than a second. Had to constantly flip it on. I was able to return 1st cat and received another very quickly. This one works great. Very engaging kitty. I love the purring. We renamed her Ginger.Amazon really is great about customer returnsMy video has a boo boo error…I don’t hear well. I can feel the heartbeat and purring more than hear them.

Easy set up and as lifelike as possible. Parent with dementia loved it! Renaming is easy and has volume control. Great value!

This is a very good idea for someone that could use a little extra companionship. But for older people, and people that is arthritic,it is very difficult to open up the little pocket in the stomach of the animal and turn it on. It really needs to have an easier way to turn on and off.
