Great, waterproof, extra cushioning
They are absolutely waterproof. Used them while hiking in Japan and my feet stayed warm and dry. They also have extra cushioning in the heel and toes which was an added benefit. Two things to consider: 1) They might provide a little too much warmth if you are hiking in the summer and 2) They take a long time to air dry after you've washed them. But they are great quality.

very waterproof, but your feet may sweat.
These are very waterproof. I purchased them for a mailman. He said that they're great! they're durable and definitely waterproof. He did say though, that his feel sometimes sweat in them if it's not real cold out (like during spring - rainy days.

Do not buy, they are NOT WATERPROOF.
These are not waterproof at all, in fact they trap water against your skin. I've had complications from cancer treatments that has left holes in my feet. I wanted to go kayaking and bought these to keep my feet dry since they are advertised as waterproof. The fact is they allow water in to your skin then hold the water against your skin. This is no good. Returning

Waterproof socks are a gamechanger!
I bought these socks for my husband's upcoming fishing trip. The fit well. He hasn't had a chance to wear them yet to test the water resistance. He was excited to try them out.

Warm Walk
An awesome purchase for an Alaskan cruise of these socks. My feet were warm because of the right amount of thickness and comfort of the quality material. The color made the difference within my shoes to accent the proper fit!

Know it’s limitations
I bought these for a hike that was going to entail crossing the Big Sur River , which I anticipated would be at ankle depth. It was actually at knee depth, so water came into the boots and over the top of the socks so that both the inside and outside of the socks got wet and had to be wrung out like a wet dishrag. Carried a spare set of socks so no big deal . Will be looking into high boot covers for the next similar outing.
