These are some of the best pastel pencils I've used. They're such a good value for how many you get. The color selection of the 36 set is great, though it is lacking some grays. If you buy the 36 set, I would recommend buying a few of their warm and cool gray colors individually as well to round out your set.These pastels are nice and smooth, I find they don't crumble as easily as some other brands do. I always use a craft knife to sharpen them, I find they tend to break less if you sharpen them that way versus a sharpener. They work wonderfully on Pastelmat paper.I think the 36 set with the edition of a few extra gray pencils would be perfect for any beginner artist looking to get started with pastels!

Colors are vibrant and blends very smoothly mixing is good .

I use these all the time to finish off my mixed media pieces. They are vibrant and can be activated with water which makes putting in finishing touches and shadows a breeze in mixed media. They are very blendable. I have not used them on a pastel paper, only on mixed media pieces but I would expect they would be just as fabulous on paper. I do recommend buying the sharpener they sell specifically for them. It works wonderfully.

Nice selection but poorly packed so every pencil has shattered tips. Not happy having to sharpen 36 pencils to use them!! Colors are rich and blend well.

Good material and beautiful colors

Absolutely love these pencils for find detail on both digital and rubber stamps. I will highly recommend these to others.

Wear down quickly. Color is ok but expensive for how fast they wear down and takes a lot to get back to a point.

I enjoyed working with these besides having to use fixative. I think they're worth the inconvenience of fixative.
