Nice Sleek, Lightweight Camera!
This camera is so small and lightweight, it will fit into a pocket in a pair of jeans, or even a pocket that is on the front of a T-Shirt. When we received this camera I was so impressed at how light the item was and the magnificant pictures it takes. It powers on very quickly to help to not miss that special picture that you might miss with other cameras because they take so long to power on. The camera is sleek, portable, and takes awesome pictures. It has many of features that we have not yet been able to try out. I think if you are looking for a small, sleek, camera to take to a baseball game, or something of that nature to keep from having to drag a big huge SLR camera or bigger digital camera, this camera will do the job perfectly! I highly recommend this camera to anyone that is looking for a lightweight, nice picture taking camera!!!

Love this camera
I purchased this camera about a month ago since my previous Sony Cybershot broke. When I purchased that camera in 2005 it was over $300. I was pleased to see that the pricing had come down significantly ($159.99) and the mega pixels had increased (12.1 as oppossed to 7.2). The camera is extremely lightweight, easy to use and takes beautiful pictures. My FAVORITE feature, however, is the different color shooting options. You can shoot in black and white, sepia tone, vivid color and regular color. I stumbled upon this feature by accident and I was so happy I did! It gives you professional looking pictures with minimal effort. I also like the smile feature where the camera detects when someone smiles and fires off a shot without your hitting the shutter button. All in all, a lot of camera for a little money! I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone!

Great video/Poor still shots
I bought this camera to replace a Sony Cybershot 6MP camera that I have had for years. The quality of photos produced by my old camera led me to believe that this new camera would be of equal quality. I must say I was very disappointed in the photo quality. Unless you were right on top of what you were shooting, the photos were grainy, out of focus or blurred. The pictures I took were not fast action or night shots--the shutter speed was not a factor. I found that the most blurring was on photos where I had used the zoom feature. I returned this camera and am sticking to my old one.

The complete point and shoot
The Sony dscw220 is a toughie! We dropped it in a creek in Virginia and later in a lake in Louisiana; in both cases we dried it and the Sony continued to shoot very effectively. As a semi-pro photog I want a camera that has a complete feature set but is easy to keep in a pocket. The Sony meets a high standard in optics and visual sensor. It's such an impressive unit that when I finally used up my first one I ordered the same model again, if used. The used one is maybe slightly sweeter than the first unit.Check it out!

Blurry Pictures
Bought this camera since it had good reviews and have a couple friends that like the camera. Took about 50 pictues and all were blurry. I called Sony support but they did not help at all. So returned the camera. I am not sure if I got a lemon or if camera truly takes bad pictures. So, still using a 8 year old Olympus that take great pics, but is very slow and bulky.

Sony Cybershot
I bought this for a gift, since the same one I was using was found to be so excellent. The photos are so detailed, it beats my old 35mm SLR! I use the Fine camera setting, with the greater resolution. I have a 4GB memory card, so it holds lots of pictures even at this huge storage rate. Studying the manual to learn the settings really pays! I use the Scene setting almost constantly, as well as the smile detection. It's great that these settings are remembered, not lost every time you turn off the camera. The battery life is excellent...much better than using rechargeable AA's. What I love most about this camera, is that, with Face Detection, you can shoot in almost any light and the skin colors will turn out perfectly...with no dark shading under the eyes!

Gift
I got this for someone as a gift before she went on a trip to israel. She LOVED it. She has been extremely happy with the pictures she's taking on her trip and loves the incidentals (appearance, ease of use, features etc). Can't give it full five stars yet because she hasn't come back and printed any pics. If they are good, I will update it to a 5.

Sony Camera
Although Sony Cybershot DSC-W220 is a 12.1MP Digital Camera, I do not see that the picture is higher quality, than my old Sony Camera (8MP). I'm disappointed with this camera.
